It was a tragic week with the terrorist attacks on the U.S. However, we can't let it get us down. LT Shadow has gone to the Reserves so he can concentrate on his school studies more, and we wish him the best of luck.

WC Own has been postponed until next week, so hurry up and fly Free-XWA 14 (attached). Also, Cantina Run IV has started. Everyone is to write a fiction of at least 500 words and get it to me before the 20th of this month, so hurry up. It must have to do with Imperial Storm II. Below is some of the details of that. I suggest you pick one of the battles and make a fiction involving Ghost's involvement in it. I expect 100% participation from everyone.

In the early morning hours, local time, satellites in high orbit around the industrial world of Firaxon detected a sizable fleet from Task Force Doom dropping out of hyperspace and taking up orbital positions around the planet. Groundside observers identified the following ships present:

TF Doom, under the command of Vice Admiral Adrenaline, will capture this resource-rich planet at the end of Turn Two

Following Vice Admiral Adrenaline's recent bold move, Fleet Admiral Kramer has followed suit. The following ships from TF Silver Saber have arrived in orbit around the world of Valkier in a bid to capture it, and it's precious resources:

TF Doom continues with its aggressive expansion: Two more planets, Golst & Strall, have been invaded by Doom ships, and both will be captured by the end of Turn IV. FO REPORT.....Having barely finished solidifying their hold on the planet of Valkier, patrol fighters from TF Silver Saber picked up sensor contacts incoming from hyperspace. As these ships reverted to realspace, they were identified as belonging to the Flaming Arrow Fleet. Gravity wells on Interdictor Cruisers from both sides began to power up, the Fleet Commanders started relaying orders to their ships...

Thursday · July 05 · 2001: Battle For Valkier Results
Although a little late in being announced, the full results from Tuesday night's Battle for Valkier can be found by clicking here. In summary, ships from TF Flaming Arrow completely crushed the opposing Silver Saber forces, for whom the most notable loss was the Regulator, an ImpStar Deuce. TF Flaming Arrow will take control of Valkier at the end of Turn IV.
In other ImpStorm news, TF Doom has captured two more planets: Strall and Golst. Including Firixon, this brings their total up to 3 held worlds.
The battle was a success, with a great turnout (the highest number of people was about 57). Many thanks to all those who attended, and helped. My apologies to those of you who didn't get the opportunity to fly, but there will be more chances in the very near future :)

The results for the second Imperial Storm battle have been confirmed. In summary, Silver Saber completely destroyed all Flaming Arrow forces, but lost several dozen fighters in the process (but none of their capital ships).
Thursday · July 12 · 2001: Imperial Storm - End of Turn V events
A brief update for ImpStorm on the end of Turn V:
· Silver Saber forces have captured the planets of Valkier and Beeni
· The A/FRG Peyote has arrived at the neutral world of Ampwi
· Flaming Arrow ships have captured the lunar world of Gengar.

After a short break following my unexpected leave, Imperial Storm II has resumed play, and its been a very busy turn for all three teams...the following ships arrivals have been detected around planets:

** Imperial Storm II Recent Battle Results **
The results of the last two battles are as follows:
At Kata, T/D Mu, from Team Doom managed to destroy the Silver Saber Interdictor Inhibitor, but managed to lose a fighter in the process.
At Region 6B, Silver Saber lost the battle, losing the ESCs Death's Billet and Reaper's Scythe along with 24 TIE Bombers and 96 TIE Advanced. Doom didn't excape unharmed, losing 2 of their own Assault Frigates (the Pakalolo and Jordgubbe), 40 TIE Advanced and 19 TIE Defenders.
The current victory point standings are as follows:

TF Flaming Arrow - 910

** IMPERIAL STORM **
Well...with Kramer's recent departure, things have kinda been left in the lurch with this wargame. I have therefore decided to call it a day and end it. We played through 10 full turns, which despite being plagued by delays and leaves, produced half a dozen or so enjoyable evenings of battles for those that took part. A full debriefing for this will be out shortly, with reports from the TFAs.
