SQUADRON NEWS
New Pilot
Samekh, welcome out newest pilot, SL Bronze de Worde! He joins us from M/PLT Daedaleus, and was recruited from outside the EH by LT Sancho!
New Flight III Flight Leader
LCM Justin has stepped down due to time constraints on his activity level. In his place LT Sancho has volunteered to be the new FL for Flight III!
Pilot of the Week
LT Sancho is the Samekh Pilot of the Week! His dedication to his squadron, and volunteering to be the new FL for Flight III pushed him ahead of all other pilots.
Samekh Message Board
I would like to take a moment and mention how proud I have been recently with all the activity on our squadron message board. Ok, with the addition of SL de Worde we now only have 3 Battle Citations for Samekh. Anyone that has not yet flown the following battles is encouraged to in order to get back our missing 11 Battle Citations:

Activity
Things are looking up pretty well this week despite having several pilots on leave. However I MUST remind everyone that the Wing Comp still needs to be flown by several pilots in Samekh. TC-TIE #174 pilot files all need to be submitted by July 31st at the latest. Do yourselves a favor and fly it now to get it out of the way. ;)
Recruiting
We are still in need of new pilots gentlemen. Let’s go get those new recruits pilots! ;) We only need three more pilots and we will be a full squadron again! Your CMDR’s personal thanks to the members of Samekh that have taken the time to recruit. From recent reports it appears that we may soon have two new members in our ranks! Well done!

Recruiting
LC Proton is now insisting that all members of Wing V get busy and get new recruits into our ranks. We are now down to 46 pilots in Wing V and we must get our numbers back up and improving!

Sabacc Online

After several days of endless coding, I've finally completed the newest EHNet.org attraction: Sabacc Online! For those of you who aren't familiar with Sabacc, it's a mixture of poker, blackjack and the Star Wars Universe, and is the game in which Lando Calrissian had lost the Millenium Falcon to Han Solo. If you don't know how to play, the rules are on the site, and even if you do know, I suggest you look through them before playing. Second Valkier battle results

The results for the second Imperial Storm battle have been confirmed. Please click here for a full report of the evening. In summary, Silver Saber completely destroyed all Flaming Arrow forces, but lost several dozen fighters in the process (but none of their capital ships).

Well, only one pilot submit a pilot file for any of the weekly comp missions. LT Sancho gets a kill point for completing Free-XvT #4! Well done Sancho!
Due to the fact that I will be out of town for several days this week, and we have two other pilots currently on leave, we will forgo any assigned missions this week and let everyone take a break from that. In the meantime, when I return this week I will be putting together a comp proposal for a Run-On competition to begin at the end of the month for Samekh! J
