Greetings all, and welcome to another Hey Squadron
Report.

Major Osan'gar was sitting at his desk thinking about
the events of the previous week. Lieutenant Colonel
Sequoh Marden had returned from leave and was now
active again and in his absence, Wing III membership
had increased to 48. The Wing III Summer Bash was also
about to start, and Hey were about to prove that they
were the best squadron in the Wing. There was even a
possibility that Vav squadron would be opened soon and
Wing III would have all six squadrons active for the
first time in years.

As he was thinking, the door started to open and
Ferret walked into the room. Osan'gar noticed that
Ferret had a piece of paper with a string attached to
it round his neck. Osan'gar pulled the paper from
around Ferret's neck and began to read it. The paper
had HELP written on it in large letters, and
underneath CM Var Zoraan had written that he had been
locked in Ferret's cage for stealing money from the
Bantha and he wanted assistance in escaping.

A few hours later, Osan'gar lay back in his chair
sipping a beer "borrowed" from the Gimel supply room
thinking about how the week had just gone from good to
better.

SQUADRON NEWS
---------------------------------

- Another relativly inactive week in Hey Squadron with
not much noticable activity from anyone :(

- I hope that everyone is preparing for the Wing III
Summer Bash, I know that CM Josh Popelka, LCM
Tvan'Oris, LT Alhana Creed, LCM Treb Helfast and
myself have all signed up for catorgories, now lets
try to win this.
For all the catorgories you have signed up for, I
expect you to compete in. If you don't compete in that
catorgory, you better have a very, very good reason
for not competing.
Try to make your entries good as we will have a much
better chance of winning.

- LCM Tvan'Oris was awarded a LoC after winning an
online game.

- LT Ryan Tribal has been removed from the rosters
following being expelled from the Emperor's Hammer
after CoC violations on IRC.

- The new Flight III motto and nickname is "The
Flaming Pavement" and "We Brake for Nobody"

- I will be going on leave for two weeks on the 2nd
August. It is extremely unlikely I will be able to get
an internet connection for that time, so CM Josh
Popelka will be the Acting Commander during that time.

- Not much other news this week :/


WING III NEWS

- Wing III membership is at 48. Keep recruiting and we
will be able to open Vav Squadron once we reach 50
pilots.

- I have begun to re-write the pilot archive in PHP,
but as I'm still learning the language as I go along,
don't expect it to be finished for ages. I have just
finished college for the summer and will have the next
six weeks doing nothing :), so I might be able to get
it done over the next few months.

New features will include the following
+ news posting
+ file upload forms which will post pictures, fiction
etc straight to the site
+ roster scripts which will actually work
+ A more efficient way of viewing individual pieces of
work
+ more graphics and pictures to make the site look
prettier :)
+ regular polls on what you want to see in the pilot
archive
+ loads of other things I will think of while coding
the site

- Welcome back CM Lavos to Wing III who re-joins Beth
Squadron :)

- CM Dark Angel has stepped down as CMDR of Daleth and
applications are being accpeted for a new CMDR. If any
of you are interested, you have to be a FL/LT or
FM/LCM or higher to apply.

Also this week, I have been playing loads of Counter
Strike and have discovered the true greatness of the
map cs_assault_upc which is a huge improvement on the
already great cs_assault. Highlights include going in
the second vent as a Counter Terrorist with an MP5 and
gunning everyone in the area down and also being a
Terrorist and going out the top door to kill all the
foolish CTs below you.
