report.

SQUADRON NEWS
-------------------------------

- The squadron patch competition has ended and LT
Alhana Creed submitted the only entry. LT Alhana's
patch is now the official squadron patch and will be
submitted to the OPS office. LT Alhana also receives
the Golden TIE on offer for the competition. Remember
to add the patch attached to this mail to your
uniforms.

- The Wing III Summer Bash will start soon. Remember
to sign up for any catorgory you wish. However, if you
don't compete in a catorgory you have signed up for
you will lose points both for youself and the
squadron. I want Hey to prove that we are *the* best
squadron in the wing and thus participation in this
comp is a must. The details have been released in the
Wing III report and please remember to sign up for the
events you want to participate in. Lots of medals are
on offer as an incentive to do well so lets try to win
this comp.

- LCM Dan Jenkins has gone on leave for 10 days to
sunny California. Have fun Dan

- Congratulations to LCM Tvan'Oris who achieved the
FCHG rank of GALL.

- We now have 9 squadron citations, lets try to get a
few more.

- Congratulations to LCM Tvan'Oris who passed the
IWATS course mIRC 1, mIRC 2 and SM/2


WING NEWS

- Congratulations to LCM Arcanian Stirner who got
promoted to LCM this week AND won the XWA section of
the Sovereign Top Gun competition. Nice work

- MAJ Jahan Kalar has found a new Aleth assistant to
help him to run Aleth. If you see a Mynock flying
around the cantina, don't worry, its probably doing
some errands for Jahan.

- The FCHG Challenge will end tonight and the results
will be published tomorrow. CM Loor has a huge lead at
the moment so can anyone catch him up?

- Use the mailing list and message board as they have
been very quiet recently.


FLEET NEWS

Sector Rangers and the Imperial Security Bureau

As Security Officer I'd like to announce the
disbanding of the Sector Rangers, and like the
phoenix, rising from the ashes of the Sector Rangers
comes the Imperial Security Bureau, a badly needed
beginning to a well-deserved end.

From veritable rubble and disorganization into an
epitome of uniform and order, the ISB is here to serve
you and the entire Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, as
an effective investigative/reporting agency. I'm sure
many of you worry that the ISB is the same thing that
the Sector Rangers were, but I assure you this is not
true. Unlike the Sector Rangers, the ISB's goal is to
report, not to act upon violations of the AoWs and
CoCs.

We aren't the police, and wont try to pretend to be.
Merely, if we see a violation of Imperial law, it is
reported and documented and sent to the Security
Office. I sincerely hope you don't automatically look
down on the ISB as the bastard son of the SRs, because
I would like to put everything the SRs were or stood
for behind us. The ISB is just a way to help keep the
trouble makers out of the fleet, discourage ill
behavior and create a more enjoyable experience for
everyone. Membership in the ISB will be very
selective, due to the requirement that the
organization must remain small in numbers at this
present time; so we are seeking only the best and
brightest.

Battle For Valkier Results

Although a little late in being announced, the full
results from Tuesday night's Battle for Valkier can be
found by clicking here. In summary, ships from TF
Flaming Arrow completely crushed the opposing Silver
Saber forces, for whom the most notable loss was the
Regulator, an ImpStar Deuce. TF Flaming Arrow will
take control of Valkier at the end of Turn IV.

In other ImpStorm news, TF Doom has captured two more
planets: Strall and Golst. Including Firixon, this
brings their total up to 3 held worlds.

The battle was a success, with a great turnout (the
highest number of people was about 57). Many thanks to
all those who attended, and helped. My apologies to
those of you who didn't get the opportunity to fly,
but there will be more chances in the very near future
:)

MISCELLANEOUS

This section will see the start of a new regular
section of the report each week - "The Hey Squadron
Pilot of the Week"

The first ever pilot of the week award goes
to......LCM Tvan'Oris. Tvan'Oris has been hugely
active since joining the squadron passing IWATS
courses on a regular basis and flying missions and
battles at a tremendous rate :)

Now then, everyone move to the cantina and buy a round
of drinks for Tvan'Oris, he's earnt them.


Also, Conquest 2 in the Directorate subroup has
started and it is already great fun. If anyone has
signed up for this game then I've set up an alliance
called the Red Eagle Federation (which players of BH2
will be familiar with) and you are welcome to join it
