Applications for Advanced Guard Positions Open

With the recent AWOL check completed, the Advanced Guard is looking for a few good individuals who think they are up to the task of being a diplomat in the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.

I will be taking applications for the next week. There are two classifications, Ambassadors and Viceroys, and depending on the number of applications I receive, I'll decide how many go in each group. Here are the requirements:

Ambassador - you must be the rank of Commander or higher and have been a member in good standings with the Emperor's Hammer for four months. You must also have time to devote to your duties, and a willingness to work for the Advanced Guard.

Viceroy - must be the rank of Colonel or higher, with above average diplomatic skills and have been a member in good standing with the Emperor's Hammer for over six months. Once again, you must be willing to devote time to your Advanced Guard duties.

Each application must contain the following:

- Name
- E-mail Address
- AIM Name (if applicable)
- ICQ Number (if applicable)
- a brief paragraph on why you want to join the Advanced Guard

Send all applications to la@emperorshammer.org with the Subject as either AMB Application or VROY Application, depending on which position you are applying for. No applications will be considered after July 20th.

I took a bit of leave last weekend to spend some time with my family. I've added a new poll to the TC Survey Center about the new controversial uniform template. If you're an active TC officer (or reservist) that's not stationed on Daedalus, you can participate in the poll by logging in the Administration section.

The results will be e-mailed to the OPS Office. Polls and comments are confidential. (Note: they are tracked just in case someone decides to write in profanities in the comments section, in which case offenders would be referred to the Security Office, so please keep it clean.)

Wing Commander get promoted to LC

In the months that MAJ. Zippy Hawk has been WC of Wing XV on the Vanguard this wing grew to the biggest in the fleet (at 55 currently) and our ship got rewarded the prestigious TCCOM's Award, he wrote great reports with good fiction and data and been a great support for me as COM. By this alone he'd deserve to be promoted to LC
But there is more...
...Earlier this week Hawk told me he has decided to step down as WC because as of late RL has not allowed him the time to be the WC he'd want to be and that it'll likely to continue that way. Because he doesn't want to damage the Wing this way he'll be moving on to a Flight Leader position in Avenger. I fully respect this decision and for all the good work he has done for Wing XV I'd also like to present him this Promotion as a going away present as it were. In the past year Hawk has been one of our best men on the Vanguard and we'd like him to know he'll always be welcomed back onboard the Vanguard. Congrats Bud:)

New Mantis CMDR announced!

We've decided that the new CMDR of Mantis Squadron, Wing XV will be LT Bevel Leeson from Echo Squadron. We believe he'll be a greater asset to our Wing in that position. He's communicative, an active EH member (he did our last newspaper for example) and is online frequently and such - which we believe are the qualities needed for Mantis. From the applications he was the most qualified.

LCM Blair Vallyn COM's Protector of June

Congratulations LCM Blair Vallyn on becoming this month's COM's Protector. Besides the Palpatine's Crescent you are also entitled to using COM's Protector in your IDLine. 8 battles, 3 missions and 14 LoCs in just the last month alone make LCM B.Vallyn very well qualified. But besides that he's been a great A-CMDR in his CMDR's absence and has helped setting up the whole EIM competition, for which he also created a mission - great work, great to have you on board:)

New Vanguard Newspaper released!

Due to the fantastic efforts of LT Leeson, our new Chief Edittor, we were able to release the new edition of the Vanguard, our ship's newspaper. I advice you all to go and read it. The next edition is planned to be released 1 month from now, so if you have any articles, adds, or whatever you'd like to add to it - start sending them in to LT leeson and me. Just remember that this is set in the SW universe, not ours;) The Vanguard will be in the EH Newsletter as well so your work will be for the whole fleet to read or see. (on that note, if you see your article uncreditted in the paper - mail me so i can add you.)
On another note, the ViB pages have been updated and now include the propper roster and rules etc.
