Pilots of Koph Squadron:

Well folks, the first battle at ImpStorm II was a rather large
disappointment for the Sovereign. Our task force, Silver Sabre, went
into it outnumbering the foe, and after the first wave they
outnumbered us. In the second wave, they took control of our recently
acquired planet. Doh!

I'll keep you all posted about the dates and times for the next
battles, but the best place to get the news first is always going to

Koph has yet another new pilot this week, Colonel Samuel Shadd III!
His transfer came as something of a surprise to me, but I suppose once
a squadron hits a certain critical mass and attains a sufficient
reputation, the recruiting becomes far easier. A former Praetorian,
COL Shadd has already submitted a pilot file for the PSIT as well as
two DB-TIEs. Keep up the good work, Colonel, and welcome once again to
Koph!

There is no further news on our competition with Zeta or the
competition with Wing XIV, but I will certainly keep you all posted on
those if anything happens to arise.

I talked to GN Devin, the CMDR of Omega Squadron yesterday on IRC.
With some luck, we will have a competition with Omega within the next
few weeks. If you're not so sure about your piloting skills, now would
be an excellent time to have a chat with our talented Flight Leaders
about how to improve your scores.

The position of CMDR is open in Zeta Squadron. I hear from Jesseb that
he is accepting applications and is being extremely picky about the
new CMDR. If any of you are interested in the job, be sure to let me
know when you apply so I can write a recommendation for you :)

We only need two more pilots for the cadet competition. I know there
are two more of you who are just dying to volunteer for it... for
those of you who may not know, the idea is as follows: Wing VI fields
a squadron of 12 pilots and recruits a squadron of 11 cadets from the
PLT Daedalus. Wing VI's WC acts as the CMDR of the cadet squadron,
and we then have a competition between the Wing VI and the cadet
squadrons. The competition will serve as a great recruiting event, but
also will get our name out to the cadets and bring us into closer
contact with at least a few of them. I don't think anything of this
kind has been done before, and it's been on the drawing board for a
very long time now so I'm anxious to get it underway as soon as
possible.

competition, please let me know!

Finally, a very special event has ocurred this week. We have two new
pilots since the last report. As is the long standing tradition in
Koph Squadron, on a pilot's first week, he or she recieves the Koph
Ace of the Week award. Normally I only give out one Ace per week, but
this week our two Colonels both get one. Congratulations, Colonels!
