…With a foggy groan, you groggily emerge from a deep sleep to the sound of banging on your quarter doors. Stumbling across the room, you reach the door and crack it open, heated words forming in your mind. As the lock opens, a figure in a flight suit steps forwards, push the door open. Puzzled, your sleepy mind takes a few minutes to determine the identity of the man.

“Special training operations. You have 15 minutes to gear up and get to your fighter. Once we launch, I’ll explain the operation en-route to our destination.”, states your Commander in a hurried tone.

With that, he turns on his heels and proceeds to the next set of quarters down the hall…

…Emerging from the hangar of the ISD Subjugator, you deftly steer your fighter into formation, and listen intently to the briefing on your comm. unit.

“…I have just received a communiqué from the VSD Aggressor. The ship’s current mission will be bringing it in system with the Subjugator in about 1-2 weeks, and the Elite Avenger Squadron wished to challenge Talon to a wargame. As you likely know, I previously served aboard the Aggressor with Avenger squadron, and have thus accepted the challenge. Because of this upcoming challenge, we are going to begin training. Now, here’s how we’ll begin…”


SQUADRON NEWS:

- Challenged by the Elite! It seems that our reputation preceeds us somewhat, and I have recently had quite a large number of competition offerings and challenges. While I do intend to eventually get around to all of them, the first that we will accept is from the Elite Avenger Squadron. Currently, we are working on setting a date and time that will allow the best turnout... likely a weekend afternoon by North American reckoning. This is my old squadron, and I would like to be able to show the TIE Corps that Talon can defeat the elite at their specialty. Additionally, because COL Smitrock also used to be an Avenger member, and due to the fact that he is our WC, he is invited (and has accepted time permitting) to fly with Talon in this competition. At the present, we have aspects of 2v2, group combat engagements, and possibly some 1v1. If you wish to participate, please contact me and we can arrange a time for a bit of training in MP combat. Also, this comp will be on a weekend, so please send me times you are available that we might finalize the time.
- No one completed TC-TIE 77 this week. The new ill battle will be TC-XvT 11 *** PLEASE NOTE: THIS A MISSION WHICH IS MP ENABLED, AND IS IN FACT MEANT AS A TRAINING MISSION FOR CO-OP. In light of our upcoming competition, I’d ask that anyone able fly it with others, and as many of us as possible should do so together.

- LT Jerod Ashrand completed Daedalus training and transferred into Talon. Subsequently, he was promoted from Su-Lieutenant to Lieutenant. Welcome and Congradulations!

Competitions:
- Talon Weekly Kill Competition:
- Each week, I assign a battle to be flown. Because Talon is a multi-platform squadron, the battle selection will alternate between TIE, XvT, and XWA.
- Pilot files for the assigned battle are to be submitted to the me before the next Wednesday evening (MTS - Canada) when the weekly report is sent out. The top three scorers from each week will be awarded 3,2, and 1 kill(s) for 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively. Additionally, to encourage MP activity and interaction among pilots, 1 kill will be awarded to anyone who flies an XvT battle on a team with at least one other pilot. These winners will be announced in the report. Further, on the Talon Squadron homepage each pilot will have his kills painted onto his fighter as a means of keeping track of them. For each 20 kills that a pilot has, he will be awarded an IS-BW. This will be an ongoing competition through the year.
- This week’s Battle will be TC-XvT 11 *** PLEASE NOTE: THIS A MISSION WHICH IS MP ENABLED, AND IS IN FACT MEANT AS A TRAINING MISSION FOR CO-OP. In light of our upcoming competition, I’d ask that anyone able fly it with others, and as many of us as possible should do so together.

- Wing Competitions:
-Fly one of the 3 battles according to your desired platform; TC-TIE #26 "The Dark troopers", TC-XvT #5 "Phoenix Saga", TC-XWA #13"Hammer to Anvil Part II" The pilot with the highest score from their platform category wins an IS-BW. Now if a pilot so happens to win all 3 platforms then they get an additional medal (ISM).
- There is another new competition that starts July 26th and will end August 15th.

Its a non-flying comp, the objective is to design a wing Collar for the Wing. The pilot that creates the nicest set will be awarded an IS-BR :)


- Commodore’s Escort:
- As was outlined in the COM’s last report, every two weeks, a mission will be selected. The highest score on said mission will be awarded the title of Commodore’s Escort for the next two weeks, as well as a small competition medal. This period’s assigned mission is: FREE-TIE #1

- Fiction Creation:
- if you are the type of person who enjoys writing fiction, the COM, RA Jeff 'Tiger' Loruss, will accept two submissions of fiction from each pilot per month. The fiction that he likes best will be included with his bi-weekly report, and the writter will recieve a small medal as reward.

- IMPERIAL STORM
