For some reason or another, I felt that that would be a good opener for this squadron report. From what I’ve heard about Zayin, this squadron has not been a very active one. I would like to change that. Part of that could’ve been caused by the lack of leadership in the squadron for the past few months. Let’s turn Zayin Squadron around from inactivity to total activity! I know we can do it!
Okay then, onto Squadron News:
· Recruit! Let’s get some fresh me…um cadets to join us! Post on the MB, email cadets, etc… Note: [P] means they’ve completed the flying portion and [I] means that they’ve completed the IWATs course. Don’t spam them.
· There are rumors (hopefully untrue rumors) that CM Slothman has gone either AWOL or MIA possibly due to the inactivity of the squadron and/or lack of leadership. Also, LT Satariel, RESPOND to this email, letting me know if you are there. AWOL/MIA proceedings for both of you start today, July 8th.
Wing News:
· Wing IV vs. Wing V is in full swing! The mission is TC-TIE 174 and is due at the end of the month. The highest scorer from each wing gets an IS-SW and the 2nd highest scorers will get the IS-BW. I suggest that you all start flying it now so that you can get it done in time.
· CM Akhil Thantos, the CMDR of Kaph Squadron has changed his email addy to akhil_thantos@yahoo.com but I’m sure that he can be reached via the W4 yahoo group addy as well.
· The Psi Invitational is in full swing and our very own Yod Squadron is still in the hunt! The mission is, FTIE 53 and is due by July 14th. Even though we are not in it, let’s fly it anyways and see how our average scores compare!
· CM Mantis has stepped down as Lamed CMDR and transferred to the Reserves. Col Ricardo is the acting commander ( I believe)
· MAJ Halcyon (Yod) has been awarded the Legion of Combat!
· CPT Corran Halcyon (Teth) has been awarded the Medal of Tactics -Blue Hammer! Any relation guys?
· LC Reaper has been awarded the Iron Star -Bronze Wing!
· MAJ Jonathan (Yod) has been awarded the Commendation of Bravery!
· MAJ Phoenix Berkana (Yod) has been awarded the Commendation of Bravery!
· LT Al Fuller (Kaph) has been promoted to the postion of Flight Leader, Flight 2!

· The Security Rangers are being disbanded. This does not mean that you can go and say and do whatever you want to on the IRC since there is a new breed of security officers taking their places. The Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) is going to take it’s place. The job of the ISB is to make sure that there are no troublemakers on the IRC and help to make it a better place for us all. · Fly TC-TIE 174! The due date is July 31st. Get me your pilot files before then so that I can BSF them in time for you.
· Be active! No one likes an inactive squadron! Get flying! Send in those pilot files! Besides, you didn’t choose to join the TC to do nothing! Did you know that there are 158 Free-TIE missions? And 176 TC-TIE Battles? The F-TIEs don’t normally take too long and if it does…fly a different one. Same thing applies to the battles. Most are only 4-5 mission battles.
· Write fiction, create graphics, do something. A pilot who does not do anything is not just letting down the squadron, but the entire wing as well. Especially in light of the Wing IV vs. Wing V comp going on now!
· Recruit! Especially since we may be down to only three members! L Recruit! See below.
· CM Slothman and LT Satariel, again, this is your AWOL/MIA check! Respond immediately or I will be forced to have you removed from the squadron!
