Koph Report # 47 (2001-07-25)

This report was submitted by LC Firebird

Pilots of Koph Squadron:

The word of the week is BUSY! There are a whole bunch of things we
have to get done in the next few weeks, so listen up and prepare to
fly like mad!

First off, and by far the most important is the Psi Squadron
Invitational Tournament. No, stop groaning people! It's not over yet,
but very soon now we will be able to brag to the rest of the fleet
that we are the best! I heard from COL Ford today that we definitely
did get into the third and final round of the PSIT. Official results
should come around tomorrow, and I'll forward them as soon as they hit
my inbox. The final battle will be a 6 mission TC-TIE, and we will
have only a week to complete it.

Secondly, and also most importantly is the competition with Omega
Squadron. I've been putting this off as long as possible because we've
been busy, but GN Devin is breathing down the back of my neck and COL
Brian is chuckling about how much we suck behind my back, so the time
has come to teach them what greatness is like. Details about this comp
will be forthcoming. Once it starts, COL Brian will be kicked off the
mailing list temporarily. Sorry Brian :P

Finally, Jesseb announced today that all BSFs since July 15th will be
counted for the FCHG comp. The comp officially starts Wednesday, and I
believe it officially ends August 15th. Fly your hearts out for this
one folks.. Tav is looking very strong these days and we have a
reputation and bragging rights to maintain!

I am happy to announce that CM Mage has come back from a very brief
retirement to join Koph. Hope you're ready do so some flying, Mage ;)

Today at ImpStorm, I was the highest ranking member of Task Force
Silver Saber to attend, and was therefore put in charge of organizing
our side of the skirmish. I had CPT Nikolai Boshevki brief CM Pavz
with some excellent tactics to use to reduce the forces of Task Force
Doom to space dust. I am pleased to announce that today held victory
for Silver Saber. Great work, Captain!

Pilots joining Koph Squadron automatically are awarded the Koph Ace of
the Week during their first week in the squadron. However, this month
Koph is also the Wing Commander's Own as well as the SSSD Sovereign
Flag Officers' Escort Squadron, so Mage gets four (count 'em) squadron
medals: ESC for Escort Squadron, two WCOs, and finally the traditional
KA. Congratulations, Mage... now get back in that T/D and fly!

Your new Squadron ID Line is:

CM Mage - ESC/WCOx2/KA
