Odin Weekly Squadron Report #2
Release Date: 07/20/01

Squadron News:
Been a rather quiet week around the ship lately folks. Not much has been going on so I'll try my best to fill you all in :-)

Bit of news, LT Brian has been on leave this past week. I expect him to be back very shortly.

Recently a lot of new XvT battles have been released by the TAC Office. Theyre a lot of fun, and really not that hard. One that I would like everyone complete is Odin's Redemption. It was made by one of my former FLs and means a lot to me. Pilots get to work.

You may have noticed also, the Training Office is now sending out there newsletters once again. Keep an eye on these. They occasionally have new comps for you to participate in.

NOTE: To anyone who has taken the XvT Tactics IWAT Course, if you still have your results, re-send them to this address: erik@e-sjop.nl I found out yesterday the page that had Pavels address on it was just out of date. Make sure you send it to the given address though. Major Tarkin is doing the tests now. Good luck.

Squadron Status:

Imperial Storm II battles can occur at any time. Keep an eye out in your email bins and on tc.org's news page. Battle times and dates will be listed there.

Regular Weekly Competition for XvT and XWA (even TIE) are held. Check the combat calendar for more information on these competitions. Flying in these competitions can bring in the medals. LoCs and DFCs are plentiful!

Still many many spots to fill in the squadron, if you know some people on Daedalus who will be an asset the squadron, don't hesitate to reccomend odin squadron to them.

The battle I want everyone to concentrate on is TC-XvT #12, Odins Redemption. Afterall, were Odin. We should have this one done with no problem :-) Hint with this one though, if you have a concussion missile fired at you, stop what youre doing and take it out. On easy setting, you'll have 1 fired at you per wave of A-wings.

Squadron Activity:

Little Step down. Lets resume what we had last week

CMDR/CPT Raxis Krieger - Completed IWATS-XTT Course and Flew TC-XvT #13. (i flew two others, but they havent been approved by tac yet :-)
FL/CPT Saar - Seen on mIRC. Lemme know when you get those battles done, Ill process them immeadiately
FL/LT Brian - On Vacation this week
FM/LT Andrew - Still with us Andrew?
Competitions participated in will be announced when COO Gives out the LoCs for them (probaly by next WSR) Brian I beleive me and you are in the same boat on this one?

Promotions, Medals, Assignments, ect:

LoC x 2 Awarded to Raxis Krieger for victories on 7/11/01 at Greenwich Wolf Comp

If you won a LoC this week, they should be comming in soon. Depends on the COO. IF you havent recieved your LoCs within the past 2 weeks. Email the COO and ask. Dont bother him too much though.

Communications:

mIRC is a prime way to get in touch with myself or the two Flight Leaders. If you need to downlaod mIRC. it can be found at http://www.mirc.com . I doubt any of us need that since I've seen you all on there, but there it is anyway, and for those who may not know, regular names of the pilots in the squadron are: CPT_Raxis (or `Loki), CPT_Saar, LT_Brian and LT_Andrew

The odin squadron website can be found at http://members.home.net/vesuvius7 and the Flight III website can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/games3/odin/index.html. Give them both a visit sometime!

Final Thought this week...

Well guys, its been a rather boring week, I can agree 100% on that. But unfortunately I had no BSFs to do which made me even more sad. Saar, I know you have me a few battles promised this weekend, thanks for doing them. Ill be sure and get them processed. Andrew? Where'd ya go buddy? Drop me a line. Lets see if we can get you flying again :-) Brian, ok you got an excuse on being on vacation :-P

All i'm saying guys, lets keep up with the flying. Plenty of new battles have been released for you to fly, and that means a better chance of you raising your FCHG Rank to unbeleivable heights. The more battles the 4 of us fly now, the more citations we will recieve when we have 6 pilots. Even if we continue the trend of the 4 of us flying the same battles, we can keep those citations untill we have 8 pilots. Fly hard. Good luck pilots. Make this old' CMDR Proud :-)
