Odin Weekly Squadron Report #1
Release Date: 07/13/01

Squadron News:
Odin Squadron has been opened up! Hooray for that alone! We opened up Tuesday, July 10th, 2001. Keep in mind, theres only 18 days left untill I write my MSE! Lets make these ATRs look really nice and shiny so I can give out some medals durring our first month. So far you guys are making me proud in the first few days, keep up the excellent work!
Our 2 FLs have been assigned. CPT Saar has been assigned to Flight 2 Flight Leader and LT Brian has been assigned to Flight 3. Keep em in line boys :-)
New Pilot: Andrew was assigned to Odin Tuesday morning when we opened up, and within 2 days achieved full LT and completed a battle as well as his INPR! Excellent job!
Imperial Storm 2 stills rages on. Task Force Flaming Arrow (our force) has won 1 battle, lost 1 battle and have successfully invaded and captured the planet of Gengar. Lets show some support to them by showing up at the battles even if you dont have XWA to cheer on the pilots!.
Squadron Status:
Imperial Storm II battles can occur at any time. Keep an eye out in your email bins and on tc.org's news page. Battle times and dates will be listed there.
Regular Weekly Competition for XvT and XWA (even TIE) are held. Check the combat calendar for more information on these competitions. Flying in these competitions can bring in the medals. LoCs and DFCs are plentiful!
Still many many spots to fill in the squadron, if you know some people on Daedalus who will be an asset the squadron, don't hesitate to reccomend odin squadron to them.

The odin squadron website can be found at http://members.home.net/vesuvius7 and the Flight III website can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/games3/odin/index.html. Give them both a visit sometime!

Standing Squadron Orders...

Adopted from when I was previously in this CMDR position, I would like to share with you some standing orders that I have for the squadron and I would like them to be followed as guidelines for squadron activity so we can make our squad the best on the ship...

Multiplayer Flying. A crucial part to what we are as pilots in the ASF. The Aggressor strike force is a multiplayer division of the TIE Corps. Which means we should try our best to fly in them as often as possible. Not only do you help the squadron, you help yourself with LoCs and DFCs to help boost your FCHG Rating and Combat Rating. For a full listing of regular competitions held on IRC and on the MSN Gaming Zone, please visit the Combat Calender on Tiecorps.org.

Single Player flying. Single player flying is extremely important to the squadron. Flying battles allows our squadron to get Citations. The more people we have that fly a certain battle, the more of a chance we have to keep that citation if we were to lose a member or gain a new pilot. I request that first and foremost XvT battles be flown first if you are capable of doing so. Our ship is XvT based which means, each squad should essentially have these battles under there belt. After that, its up to you wether you want to fly TIE or XWA. Just fly as many of the battles as you possibly can. Give it your best pilots. Once we hit 6 pilots, it takes 50% of the squadron to fly a battle in order for us to get a citation.

Participation in Fleet/Ship/Wing/Squad Comps. Participation in these comps shows our squadrons activity. Flying in regular competitions such as the GWC, or ASF Training on wednesday nights or in Thursday Night Training, shows our squadron is going above and beyond to look good. Not only do you make the squadron look better by flying in these competitions, you also help your own personal record which COMs and WCs look at when you apply for new positions.

Im not asking you alone to do this. To help put these goals forth, I will be following each and everyone of them myself. I promise to have atleast 1 battle and 1 competition particpation each week. In most cases it will be higher. When I run out of battles, I'll fly in an extra comp. I promsie you pilots, I will not let you down. As a CMDR, its my job to train you to move up to the next position. Wether your a FL who i'm training to become a CMDR, or a FM i'm training to become a Flight Leader. I will make sure youre ready for anything in the TIE Corps.

I don't think what I am asking is a lot, its not that much essentially. You are all very good pilots, and I beleive in each of you. If you set you mind to it, you can do anything in the TIE Corps. I wouldve never dreamed I would be a CMDR, and here I am now because I did the best I could at completing those goals listed above.

You have your orders pilots. Good luck.
