Here's another week passing by and another report for you to read:)) I hope you enjoyed the last one and had a great time at the party...lol.
Anyway,now it's time for serious matters. Things started to happen around here....hehe...and i'm happy to say that there were only good things
this week:)) So let's go on with this:)
RECRUITMENT
Great news!!! Another pilot joined our squadron this week. There's 8 of us here now which i think it's really great considerring that in only 2 weeks
we lost 2 members and you know who i'm talking about. But what i want to point out here is that somewhow this helped me a lot.I mean that i was
forced to concentrate on recruiting...and you know what?...I found out it's not that difficult after all. So don't be shy guys....lol...you can do it too.All
you have to do is try. Don't let me get all the MoI's around here...lol
NEWS
1.We have a new member....SL TK-7253,Jonathan for us:)) Welcome to Tartarus !!! And you guys,make sure you show him around the place and
help him have fun:)) He told me he likes that...lol
2. Unfortunately while he was on leave,Vulcan got sick...and it seems it was preddy serious couse he had to go to the hospital. The good news is
that things seem to be going well,so he'll be probly out next week:) Anyway i'm sure he'll be happy to hear from us once in a while...so make sure
you email him and see how he's doing ok? And one more thing....i thank Tom for calling me and letting me know what's going on:)
3. I'm sorry i placed this news on the 3rd position .It's definetly not a lack of respect:)

FICTION
Great!!!...This week you'll have a great piece of fiction to read.Guess who wrote it...hehe

* PART: I (The Prologue) *

"I don't think you fully understand the situation, cadet."
"Well sir, I do understand the situation but I don't understand the purpose," cadet TC-5660 countered.
"The goal is to prepare you for the sudden attacks" the instructor couldn't give up - "just like all those raids or hit-and-fades."
"You must be kiddin', right sir? You'll waste the other two. Are you sure we can't use the simulators? They'll die out there. You risk lifes of two
potential imperial pilots."
"Don't cross me boy. Get to your fighter, you're launching within 5 minutes."
Cadet TC-5660 nodded and saluted. He did not like it, but he was to obey orders. As the instructor saluted back, the cadet was leading the
way down to the hangar. Two other cadets were following him. They weren't expecting the surprise that the instructors prepared. TC-5660 didn't
feel right, but he did what he must. {Is that so?} he thought.
"Cadet Flight Delta, you'll split up when you reach the asteroid field.Maintain a continous patrol until relieved by Cadet Flight Bravo."
"Copy that Control, Delta 1 reporting Cadet Flight Delta ready to launch."
"Permission to launch granted, Delta Flight. Enjoy." The last line sounded a bit... spoken with irony. {They know, of course.} thought TC-5660
engaging full throttle. "Uh-oh... Tomaas, what is this all about?" cadet TK-6729, Delta 3, asked when 3 modified TIE starfighters left the platform.
It was supposed to be his first flight out.
"Well, I can't tell ya. Be sure you keep your lasers fully charged.
Remember Delta Flight, if we get into something, we try to avoid the fight.
You two make sure you cover yourself. I'll handle the fighting myself."
Twenty minutes later and the pattern was clear. TC-5660 noticed the enemy. {That's odd. Those were supposed to be imperial starfighters.
The instructor told me we are going to fight a flight of gunboats from Crusader Squadron! Not a squadron of A-Wings!!!} The enemy hasn't
spotted them yet thanks to the asteroid field. This meant that the asteroids contained concentrated sources of possible durasteel alloy
compounds. {I'll keep that in mind.} Tomaas smiled. His fighter shook and accelerated.
"Combat alert! One squad of A-Wings at two-two-two mark seven. Commencing attack." Delta 2 cried. Indeed, his fighter engaged full speed
and began shooting at the lead A-Wing.
"Delta Flight! We're outa' here!" TC-5660 yelled. "Two, you are ordered to disengage at once!" {Too late.} Delta 2 exploded in a colorful flash
of his hull breach.
"Arcadius, on me. Either we fight together or we die." A double tap over the comm made Tomaas sure that they still had a chance. Just then the
A-Wings came down on the cadets.
"Arcadius, cover me!" Tomaas got a tone lock from his targeting computer and pulled the trigger. Green bolts of old but still deadly laser
cannons hit the rear shields of a turning A-Wing. A lot of blinding sparks appeared and the fighter looked like a comet with a rainbow tail.
Suddenly as a flash, the A-Wing pieced out an explosion which swallowed two his wingmen who kept close. Too close. {Heheh... I still got the
blues!} Tomaas smiled.
He looked at the display. {Incoming bogeys, seven-o'-nine point o'. 3 contacts, three cliks. Let's nail more A-Wings.} He concentrated and
targeted another bandit. {Steady...} "There." TC-5660 smiled to himself again. 4 kills in the mission so far. {Not bad.} He checked the display
again.
"Delta One, this is Crusader One. I hope you don't mind us helping you a little..." Three Assault Gunboats fired 6 concussion missiles, clearing
3 A-Wings. {So it is 7:1. 8:1. -} Tomaas smiled as the fast TIE designated Delta 3 nailed one A-Wing... with relative but rather visible ease.
{Four more targets.}
The modified TIE Fighter TC-5660 was in materialized before Platform Daedalus. Just after him, Delta 3 and the gunboats arrived. Not even
five minutes after his arrival, TC-5660 entered the flight office, where most of the staff were.
"Cadet TC-5660 reporting in."
"Ah, please be seated. We're really impressed with what you did out there. Obviously, we're wasting time teaching your starfighter combat.
With your record processed already and the IWATS Core record, we have no other choice to promote you up to sub-lieutenant." Chief Instructor
Lawk spoke.
"Also, we a have a request captain Marcin Szydlowski, commander of Crusader Squadron, would like to see you in his squadron. Well, I must
say it's not usual for such a top squadron to request people from us. Will you accept?"
TC-5660 was finding himself a bit resisting. {So fast? How could this be?} He sighed. "Maybe I could talk to captain Szydlowski first? I don't
know if I find this assignment... secure enough." His eyes widened. {Maybe it is another one of their endless tests? You never know, Tomaas...}
He warned himself.
"Why certainly. Captain Szydlowski awaits your arrival in the cantina."
"We have a cantina here?" Tomaas was truly freezing.
"Yes, we do have a cantina cade--... I mean sub-lieutenant. You are granted a 48-hour leave, after which we will decide on your squadron
assignment." Admiral Priyum Patel smiled. That made TC-5660 stand up and sit back right away. He didn't expect them to be so... careless
about their new pilots. He wouldn't be. Even so, he wanted to take some rest. He had few important things to do before he could report aboard
one of the ships of line.
"Captain Szydlowski?"
Marcin Szydlowski looked up from his table. The man standing in front of him saluted. He was young, he looked for his mid twenties. He was
wearing a dark duty uniform with a trainee patch... and sub-lieutenant insignia.
A bit unusual combination. Like the man wearing the uniform, according to the database.
"Yes, sit down lieutenant." Marcin raised his hand in the air. "A little drink?" Seeing the pilot nod, he raised two fingers and yelled a quick
order in the air.
"Whisky!!"
Tomaas nodded again. "Well, cap'n, I must say I'm quite impressed. What made you think I'm the one for your squadron? You seem sure, but
I'm not...anyways, let us start from the beginning. Who are you?"
The capatain smiled. "Me? I am a pilot and a squadron commander." He looked around the area. "C'mon, you must've heard of me."
"In fact, I did not. Ever."
"Really?"
"Never. But wait a minute... I have my datapad and here's the uplink cable..." Tomaas quickly connected the device to the built-in cantina
terminal. "I will now access your personnel and combat profiles, your pilot recordand any other information on you I might find. Meanwhile,
continue to speak. I'm listening."
"Okay." The captain sighed. He told Tomaas everything about himself and his squadron, the wing and the ship. He mentioned anything he
thought of.
This seemed to do the job... or maybe it were the data Tomaas found that did it.
"I agree, captain. I'm honored."
"I'm glad. So, sub-lieutenant Banys, welcome to the Crusader Squadron. Go and pack your gear, say goodbye to your fellow cadets and do the
administratives. I'll be waiting with the squadron." He stood up, shook Tomaas' hand and left the cantina. Short and sweet.

This is a new section of the report...lol...but i think you will all like it....because i noticed in the last two weeks that all of you are very talented:))

PROMOTIONS
No promotions this week.
SL Song Dynasty and SL Tk-7253 , all you have to do for you promotion to LT is to fly one of those battles i assigned you to. SL Song Dynasty
already completed an IWATS course (Tie Tactics) which is great and i could have promoted you only for that,but i wanna make sure promotions
are really deserved and are not just some ranks you're after so please fly something:)
MP FLYING
We MUST increase our multiplayer activity! You probably saw LC Mike's statistics , and even though we're doing great in single player activity,
our MP record is still far of what it should be. I think here is the right place to remind you that our new members need some guiding on this and
even some training . I know there are a few of you in here who would love to give them a hand.I'm counting on your experience:)
Woobee is the only one who tryied some mp these weeks...and he did it good...got 2 LoC's.Great work Woobee:)))

Graphics and fiction competition
Similar one. We really need some material for the webpage so we could outshine our mates from other squadrons. ISM for most creative
people. The same applies to the fiction writters. If it's good enough,ISM is yours. Our home page is improving everyday, but we can make it
better....come on guys,use your imagination!!:))

Tartarus vs Phoenix competition (working on it)
CMDR Wes Janson and myself had a talk about having a competition and we're now discussing the terms . I already have answers from you and
i know you're all in. This time i'll need again your oppinion...here is my last talk on this matter with Wes:

Tartarus weekly (august) competition (waitting for aproval)
Well ...as long as i'll be on vacation most of august,i thought i had to find something to make sure you stay active even while i'm gone...lol
This is how it works:
It will be a weekly competition starting every friday of the month.
The battles that are counted for this one will be TC-TIE #25 - 50 and TC-XvT #11-15
Also fiction or graphics submissions as well as battle creation will be taken into consideration as following:
- each battle flown (no matter the number of missions) - 5 points
- fiction or graphics - 3 points
- battle creation - 5 points
The pilot who will get 25 points or more every week will get an IS-BW.
I hope this will be aproved soon:)) and i hope you'll enjoy it!
RECORD OF THE WEEK
This time i think i'll leave hard rock and heavy metal ..hehe...we all need some relaxation from time to time:)) So i hope you won't get angry with me if i'll suggest for
this week's bad one that i love very much:) I'm talking about Westlife....and as a suggestion..one of their greatest song...at least in my oppinion...."Flying without
wings".
Just close your eyes and forget all your troubles for a while....relax....and let your dreams fly.(they can do that you know?..even without wings)

SQUADRON ACTIVITY
Well...i think i can say that this week our activity increased a bit,so i think if we keep it going like this we might achieve our goals after all...lol
Tartarus 1-1: CM DarkC (that's me...lol..for those who aren't aware of that) :I completed battles TC-TIE #78,79,80,85 & 90 and i tried really hard
to show our new members their way around:)
Tartarus 1-2 : CPT Tomaas Banys: Is on vacation....lucky guy!...lol:)) Yet...surprise!!!...He completed battles TC-XvT #11,12,13,14 &15 ,IW-XvT
#12,TC-BoP #3 and DB-XvT#2. Also wrote a great piece of fiction:))) What can i say Tom?....lol...just that it's obvious you want your position
back...:)))) Now...seriously,good work CPT!
Tartarus 2-1 : LTJatzCrakker :I didn't hear from him this week...nor did i get the second part of the fiction....i hope everything's allright there Jatz:)
Anyway...who knows..maybe he just went to give Woobee a hand with his moving...lol
Tartarus 2-2 : LTArcadius Calidus : He's on leave for the next two months.Unfortunatelly he's not enjoying his vacation,he was sick almost all
month...and it seems it was a bit more serious than i thought,because he had to get to the hospital:(
Anyway...the good news is that he's doing better now and will be probably out in a week.Still i have something to tell you LT: Make sure you get
some rest and try to enjoy what's left of your vacation.Remember you're on leave,so flying can wait a bit...we want you back to full power:) And

difficulties with joining mp competitions.So Woob,Les and Jatz...i know you're the best at these things,please give him some advices ok?

Well guys...we're a lot of good pilots in here at the moment,so i think now is really the time for us to show everyone what a great squadron
Tartarus is.
What about TC-TIE #176? Isn't anyone trying to beat those scores?Hmmm...i wonder....
Anyway, here's another important issue i want to talk with you about. Next week,after sending the next WSR i'm gonna be leaving on vacation for
3 weeks. Not something i really enjoy because 2 out of 3 weeks i'll have a lot of work to do in the country,so it won't be much of a vacation,but
anyway it's something i can't avoid:(
That's why i will have to chose an acting commander for Tartarus during that period.Therefore i want Woobee,Jatz and Les to email me on this
matter as soon as possible,because as soon as we've taken a decision on who it will be i'll have to have a chat with him about a few things:) So
please don't let me wait for too long:)
Unfortunately it's getting extremly hot here..so i decided in the last moment to leave to the country for the weekend,that means i won't be able to
attend the GW meeting tonight. That's why if any of you get there...you have my permission to make Tartarus's announcements:)
