Gimel Squadron Report #2 - Sunday July 22nd 2001

Introduction

Greetings everybody! This was another great week for Gimel. We got 3 new pilots in! So far I gheard from LT Tetragon and SL Fiev Nunb. SL Ian Khorst, please check in with me! Our MB has been visited quite frequently, the general morale is great (not unlikely due to the efforts of our Squadron Morale Officer), and tomorrow we'll have a newspage for our Homepage @ http://gimel@incasoftware.de !!
Congratulations go to Ace Hobbes, who was promoted to LT for some excellent flying performances! With his great work we also earned our first Squadron Citations. Alltogether I can say: KEEP IT UP PEOPLE! :-) You really are the heck of a Squadron! And thanks for letting me Command you! :-)

- Rosters changed to show our MB and Homepage adresses
- The Gimel Homepage it almost fully operational @ http://gimel@incasoftware.de
- SL Ace Hobbes promoted to full LT! Congrats!
- LT Hobbes flew TC-XWA 3, 4, 7, 8, and FREE-XWA 1 and 2! Good work! (Earned us some citations there! :-)
He also passed the mIRC/1 IWATS course! Again, great work!
- LT Eriond passed the IWATS CBX Course and improved our Squadron Morale! :-)
- Gimel Nick/ Motto changed to "The Cursed Legion" and "Arisen from the dead and crushing the enemy", at the proposal of LT Eriond, and after some Motto refining by me :-)
- Cray worked hard on the Homepage and did a great job
- Short Mailing-List contact with SL Fiev Nunb.
- I did all kinds of stuff :P I don't really know WHAT I actually did, but I know that I was busy with the Squadron for at least 1 hour a day :P

We'll have the Comp with Aleth, and another one AFTER the Summer Bash (probably after, that is :P)

- CM Darkangel stepped down as Daleth CMDR, applications to Seq and Kramer

Who's the best Squadron in the Wing? Is it Gimel? The Cursed Legion? The Squadron starting with G? All of the above? Thw Wing will need the decisin soon!

- Do some flying - Especially XWA Battles, to get us new Citations and strengthen our current ones!
- Recruit for the Squadron - RL friends, Online Star Wars MBs and so on are good places to do recruiting
-Attend to the weekly Wing meeting today in the #Wing_III channel!
- Communicate (use the mailinglist and post on our Messageboard, The Wing's MB, and maybe even other Squadron's MBs)
- Have Fun!!!
