The big night is tomorrow night boys, Roasty's new band "Gestalt" is going to make its rushed debut. Talking about Rush, we're playing one of their songs and not one of the easiest. And Roasty (who is a singer only) is also going to play the bass on that song. On a heavily band coordinated song. And no, I'm not scared...excuse, I'm going to change my underwear :p
Squadron News
-All of you know the major news on the wing concerning Inky's retirement. All that could be said was said and of course it wasn't enough at all. All I can say now is that I wish her the best on her new civilian life and we expect to have her around soon. May the Keg be with ya, ma'am ;)
-Lotsa people on leave, vacation time. By the time everyone returns we are going to make an intra squad comp, we hadn't played one of those in a while. Multi categories, multi awards. Get geared up to gather a couple of nice ISs ;)
-LT Hermann keeps working on mission designing, there's a new one he created, try it and give him some feedback. He's also creating a full battle about Kappa. Way to go Hernan ;)
-This week's Ol' Roasty's word o' advice: "If someone asks you if you can sing Child in Time of Deep Purple, just say no. Taken from the best seller: 'Tales of a dumbarse's throat', by Roasty's throat."

Koph Squadron of Wing VI has been named the SSSD Sovereign's Flag Officer Escort Squadron - Third Quarter 2001.
-Applications for Advanced Guard Positions Open
With the recent AWOL check completed, the Advanced Guard is looking for a few good individuals who think they are up to the task of being a diplomat in the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.
I will be taking applications for the next week. There are two classifications, Ambassadors and Viceroys, and depending on the number of applications I receive, I'll decide how many go in each group. Here are the requirements:
Ambassador - you must be the rank of Commander or higher and have been a member in good standings with the Emperor's Hammer for four months. You must also have time to devote to your duties, and a willingness to work for the Advanced Guard.
Viceroy - must be the rank of Colonel or higher, with above average diplomatic skills and have been a member in good standing with the Emperor's Hammer for over six months. Once again, you must be willing to devote time to your Advanced Guard duties.
Each application must contain the following:
- Name
- E-mail Address
- AIM Name (if applicable)
- ICQ Number (if applicable)
- a brief paragraph on why you want to join the Advanced Guard
Send all applications to la@emperorshammer.org with the Subject as either AMB Application or VROY Application, depending on which position you are applying for. No applications will be considered after July 20th.

The results are in and the top pilots have been chosen. Each of these pilots is the best the Sov has to offer and has flown against all Sov-based challengers during this competition. Congratulations!
