Scorpion Squadron Report for week ending August 17, 2001

“Welcome to the new Scorpion Squadron!” Commander Ekim Yellek smiled broadly standing before the packed squadron room, every pilot’s seat was filled. “As you know it’s been a busy week for the Squadron, I’d like to welcome all the new members of the squad and one returnee. So CPT Ahkliat, LCM Ultima, and LT’s Birkov and Kage Welcome. Now down to the other news, I was awarded a PC for my work with the Propaganda Office, which I used to recruit LT Kage here.” The commander looked at Kage and smiled. “I also received an ISM for my work on the ship’s paper. LT Xanthos also received an ISM for his hard work and a CoB for flying his thirty missions. LCM Ultima also received an ISM on his second day for designing a new squadron patch and banner.” The commander stood impeccably at the front of Scorpion’s briefing room, in-front of him was LT Xanthos, the squadron XO for the month, and then the flight leaders and flight members. “Okay this is going to be a big week, we need to get started, we’ve reorganized the squad now let’s put it to use. Dimissed!”

Imperial Storm battles rescheduled

As you may or may not know, due to a variety of reasons, the Imperial Storm battles scheduled for last Thursday did not take place. So, they've been arranged for this Wednesday, 15th August @ 11PM GMT / 6PM EST in the channel #project_faithful. For more information on the battle, please go here.
Flag Office promotions

Congratulations to two long-standing Flag Officers in the TIE Corps, who today are rewarded for their tireless work: Rear Admiral Khadgar, Commodore of the Grey Wolf, has been promoted to Vice Admiral and Lieutenant Colonel Proton, WC of Wing V, has been promoted to Colonel. Again, congratulations to both of these fine Officers!
Competitions

The Training Office is running two small competitions. The first one is to come up with a motto for Daedalus. Details are available here. The other competition is related to which ship, wing and squadron will get to be in the first issue of a cadet newsletter of sorts which the training office will be starting soon. Transfers: CPT Ahkliat has been reinstated as Scorpion 3-4, COL Thrawn is now COL Neo and has transferred to Scorpion 2-4, being replaced by LT Xanthos as Scorpion 2-1, LCM Ultima has transferred from Asp Squadron on the Intrepid, we are lucky to have him as Scorpion 1-4, LT’s Birkov (Scorpion 3-3) and Victor Kage (Scorpion 1-2) have been assigned to the squadron.

Commander’s Goals
- For every pilot to fly XWA battles 1-10, therefore to obtain 10 citations
- Every pilot to compete in one multi-player competition per week
- For every pilot to post one message on the squad, wing, BG, TIE Corps message boards
- For every pilot to recruit at least one new pilot
- For every pilot to earn a CoB, only 30 FCHG points
- For every pilot to compete in competitions, even if you don’t do well compete
