The latest Dark Sentinel is out, with yet another story written by your ever lovin’ CO. Shield’s CO also submitted some nice graphics. It’s available for download or on-line viewing, so check it out. With the opening of another Dark Brotherhood ISD and Wing, a new Battlegroup has been created. The fleet continues to grow! Wing News
The Ace Pilot League is heating up, with Shield’s CO taking bragging rights this week. The other squadrons are doing some flying, and generally keeping their activity as high as possible.

Squadron News
Warning Order: The first Spear Squadron Top Gun competition will officially begin next week, so get your joysticks ready. The mission to be used will be announced in the Competition Operation Order, along with the start and end dates. A medal will be awarded to the highest-scoring pilot from Spear at the end of it all. This will also be out last competition before school starts for most squadron members. Let’s make it a good one!

Priority Charlie-Two: The motto/banner competition continues. I’m holding off on a squadron banner until we get a new motto. The idea I’ve got for the squadron nickname is “Der ehrenwert Stoss,” which translates roughly as “Honorable Striker.” Any proposal for a squadron motto should link with this theme. I would like to see banner ideas for the three flights. Banners for Flight II should also be CC: to CM Ironfist for his input and comments. Flights I and III can come to me. LT Owen did a nice one for Flight II, but so far this is the only entry. I’m pretty happy with the flight mottoes right now, so these will be changed only if the Flight Leaders wish. Winners from each flight will earn themselves an Imperial Security Medal. This contest will close on September 1, so get your submissions in!

Look them over as soon as you can, and let me know that you’ve reviewed them and ask any questions you may have.

It should be obvious that we need a Flight Leader for Pilum Flight. If you’re interested in the job, and think you have what it takes to be a leader, let me know.

I’d also like to challenge the two remaining lieutenants in our squadron to boost their activity. Let’s see if we can’t get a squadron where the lowest rank is LCM!
