Beth Squadron Report #1 – August 12, 2001


INTRODUCTION:

Greetings everyone, and welcome to the 1st Beth Squadron Weekly Report under my command! Since I was appointed late last week this report will actually cover about 2 weeks worth of time. The main news this week is the Summer Bash, which has entered into it’s 3rd and final round. Beth has had a fairly decent amount of participation the Bash so far, but I’d like to see us really push to do our best for this round!


SQUADRON NEWS:

- CM Loor transferred to Praetorian Squadron. I was assigned command of Beth.

- The Summer Bash is well underway. In fact, we have entered the final round! We’re hanging in their in terms of overall participation but it could be much better. Those of you who aren’t participating in the categories you’ve pledged to: Get on it! This is the final round and a really good showing could win this for us! Congrats to CPT Cal Sinis for winning Round 2 of the Web Hunt Category. Cal has done well in both rounds so far in all of his categories. Well done! More complete results will be released when the winners of the graphics, fiction, and mission design categories are announced along with Round 3 results. It’s still not too late for Beth to come out on top, so do your best!

- I returned from Leave.

- Beth seriously needs a new CRT. Be prepared to begin one a week or two after the Summer Bash. I need to know if you all want to do a battle or a mission. Send me your opinions ASAP!

WING NEWS:

- LC Sequoh Marden is on leave until the 25th of August. MAJ Jahan Kalar of Aleth squadron is the Acting-WC until he returns.

- Congrats to LT Ace Hobbes on his promotion to FL of Flight II in Gimel Squadron!

- MAJ Osan’gar is on leave. CM Josh is filling in until he returns.

- The Wing III Website has changed locations! The wing now has it’s own domain name: http://www.wing3.net. Many thanks to MAJ Jahan Kalar for all of his fine work on the Wing III Website.

- CM Var Zoraan and LT Eriond of Gimel Squadron are both on Leave!

CM Cray Mikalen – Completed IWATS Courses: TIE Tactics, Mission Design, and Rebellion Tactics; Flew TC-XWA 7 for Summer Bash, Flew TC-XWA 12 however there is a database problem with this battle and it cannot be submitted. The problem is being looked into; Participated in Trivia and Web Hunt categories for Rounds 1 and 2 of Summer Bash.

LT Craydon Bash – E-mail and ICQ contact. Participated in Trivia for Rounds 1 and 2 of Summer Bash.

CM Lavos – ICQ Contact

CPT Cal Sinis - Flew F-XWA 21 for Summer Bash Round 1. Participated in Trivia and Web Hunt for SB Rounds 1 and 2. Flew TC-XWA 7 for SB Round 2. Won Web hunt Category for Round 2. Appointed A-CMDR while I was on leave. Email and Message Board activity.

- Compete in the Summer Bash for Round 3. Get all entries in to Sequoh by August 16th!

- If you finish your Summer Bash stuff, try to fly some TC-XWA Battles from the Battle Center. Let’s get our Squadron Citations up!

- Post on the Mailing List and Message Board! Let me know rather you want a mission or battle for the CRT.
