Commander Vallyn lay among textbooks and
datapads in his office, sleeping on his desk. He slowly awoke. What is with
these IWATS professors. All they do is assign work. Don't they know I have to
run a squadron,too? Blair thought to himself. His door buzzed. He
straightened his uniform and tapped a switch. The door slid open quietly, to
reveal a sexy blonde ensign. Blair perked up immediately.
"Hello miss...please come
in. What have you for me?" Blair asked, with more enthusiasm due at this time of
night. She took a step into his office and handed him a box labeled 'Echo
Medals.'
"Here, sir. Right from
the Operations Office shuttle," she responded.
"Thank you, dear. It's
quite late. Care for a cocktail?" Blair asked.
"Sir, I shouldn't...I
have some duties to finish..." she responded hesitantly.
"Come now, they can wait
for tomorrow..." Vallyn went and opened his mini-bar, and pulled out a bottle of
vodka...

News
There are several wing competitions. See the
Commodore's report for details. The comps are: TC-XWA#1 flown. Pilot and/or
fiction to me by the 31st. Iron Stars are the medals. Fly your best, mottos are
at stake. ViB3 is out, pilot and/or fiction to me by the 31st as well. Medals
are Iron Stars. It's a quickie, so please play it. The last is the competition
for the Vanguard newspaper. Send stuff to Ender and Leeson (CC me and Strahd
while you're at it). Medals are IS Ribbons. Also in the Wing, congratulations to
Mantis squadron. They received WC's Own for June 2001. Mantis is commanded by
form Echo member, Commander Bevel Leeson.

News
Great job everyone, albeit late, Echo was
declared Wing Commander's Own for July 2001. We have one week to push for
August's WC's Own. We've got a good start! Just try to participate in one of the
Wing Competitions!
Echo Interactive Missions will be put on an
extended time table because of ViB and the lack of time to do the missions.
But...results are on the website for all to see! http://echo.vr9.com
LCM Glorick took first place in the score
and was awarded the IS-BW. I was the only one that did fiction...but Strahd
hasn't gotten to the medal yet :P I know you guys can do it!
