Dagger Report # 0 (2001-04-29)

This report was submitted by CM Leonid DeBastide

Ok you lot give it a rest, I can't hear myself think over that din.

Right weekly chat time and round up...

Looks like our one and only Col Ric had become our commodore... Excellent news, especially after the blood gang were after him not so long ago. Just proves the old adage, you can't keep a good thing down.

Speaking of which, who ever put the laxative in Shields ice maker will be cleaning banther crap for the next lifetime if I catch them. Sword had to cover their deep patrol as none of Shield could get out of the head.

So Cut it out. I know they welded the film room door on you, but cutting down our active squads isn't on.

You will notice when I turn I don't have an arse, that' coz Ric chewed it off. All the squadron leaders got yelled at to cut this messing about out.

I don't think it will be long before he'll set a great deal more work, that way he'll keep everybody out of mischief.

What else...

DADA DAAAAAA info cos I have to...

Some clever sod with flash has been busy.... (watch the content if you are a bit younger)

This from Rear Admiral Ricaud, recently promoted to RelCOM:

With the appointment of a new Commodore of the ISD Relentless, it is now necessary for an equally-new Commanding Officer of Wing IX to be found. Effective immediately, the post is open to any and all interest individuals in the TIE Corps at the rank of Commander or higher, and with previous experience as a squadron leader. However, this will be no normal application procedure. Because the "Fighting Ninth" is an exceptional wing, recently winning the titles of TIE Corps Commander's Own and TIE Corps Battlegroups Flagship within the space of a month, it deserves an exceptional commander.

Thus, this appointment will not be decided purely or even largely on past experience, but ability. All candidates for the position of Wing IX Commander should write a short essay, with a minimum of 750 words, on the topic of "the nature of power within the TIE Corps" with particular reference to the post of Wing Commander. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of where an officer's authority derives from, the limit to this, interrelational requirements with other positions with regards to WC, and how the efficient legitimacy of a command is established and maintained.

If it sounds confusing, you probably shouldn't think about applying. There is no right or wrong answer, all that I want to hear are your own theories of basically where a Wing Commander's power lies, how they maintain it, and how they should exercise and use it. The more intelligently and eloquently a discussion on the subject you can write, the better your chances.

All applications should be e-mailed to val.ricaud@btinternet.com and CC:ed to jarak@stny.rr.com. You may also send any questions concerning the application procedure and what is expected to the former of these addresses, or catch up with me on IRC as Ricaud in channels #Emperor's_Hammer, #TIECorps, or #ISD_Relentless. However, do please send formal applications in soon!

So if your interested knock yourself out and have a go.... good luck

Let me think what else, Aaaah Yes Rejili

Rejili..... WAKE UP !!

Huuuh what

I know my chats are boring, but do try and stay awake, or at least stop snoring so loud. Now that your awake, I have some information that will be of Great Interest. Our new Commodore along with Steve "the Cricket Bat" are still looking for the person would placed that rather interesting object you got last week in Ric office, so be warned.

Last week I asked for a Internet Officer and I am please to say that Col Phoenix has already thrown himself into this, we are just waiting for the data link password so we can upload it to the database.

Dagger Ace

Well I want to thank you all for that overwhelming response to that mail, NIL.....

So Dagger Ace this month is....Col Phoenix. Obvious really. So Col, your it for this next month, so may add it to your ID line with Internet Officer. You will now have to select a free mission for Dagger to fly during May. I will then tell you next month who won. There will be no updates given, it is upto you to sent your files in and I will let you know.

Col I expect the mission by 3/5 (oh you can't have done it already)

Oh yeah XO's Story Corner.....

XO Report

It's that time of the week again, where our Executive Officer babbles
endlessly on end about the week and his views on it. Oh, whoops. Damn it,
lemmie start again :P.

It's that time of the week again, where our Executive Officer gives all
you wonderful people his opinions of the week. It seems that we all got a
battle to submit for our citations campaign. Besides that, nothing else
really to talk about so I'll throw a cheezy story into the mix (c/o the film
The Naked Gun):

Star Leslie Neilsen (playing bumbling Police agent Frank Drebin) is standing
with co-star Priscilla Prestley (playing Office Assistant Jane) is where our
scene is set.

Jane is climbing a ladder getting some requested documents and Frank is
looking up her dress

Frank: Nice Beaver!
Jane: Thank-you... I just had it stuffed...
Hands Frank an actual stuffed beaver
Frank: Let me help you with that...

Later in the same scene....

Jane: I've heard that police work is dangerous.
Frank: It is... That's why I carry a big gun
Jane: Well, aren't you afraid it might go off accidentally?
Frank: I used to have that problem.
Jane: What did you do about it?
Frank: I just think about baseball.
Hold for audience laughter and applause

Hope you liked the story! expect more to come!
