Welcome to the Aylin Squadron Weekly Report #96, being for the week of
24 through 30 June 2001.

Squadron News:
I just realized that I had my reports inferring I was forecasting the future, so I’ve adjusted the
dates to reflect the past week. Three pilot files were turned in this week, one from Max and one
from me. Due to his sterling attempts to complete competition assignments I awarded Max with
an ISM. He also finally received his Citation of Bravery for completing 30+ missions.

On a more somber note, I’ve been offered and have accepted another archaeology job. In this
case I get to go to the Wyoming Solar System to look for Sith artifacts at a site recently
discovered next to a industrial shipping lane. I will leave on the 7th of July and will probably be
out of touch until August, as I must use a major portion of my funding to purchase a new luxury
yacht for Jennif as well as catch up on some major docking bay fees. With luck, I’ll be able to
access a library computer during that month, but if not, I will be out of touch until I can obtain a
laptop data system (if you have a spare one, maybe you could sell it to me?)

During this time, we will have an XO to run the squadron until I am able to return to my duties.
As the most active pilot we have right now is LT Max, who is not quite qualified in terms of
IWATS courses, age and experience, I am seriously considering borrowing a gung-ho LCM from
one of the other squadrons. He will receive quite a lesson in commanding a squadron, as we’re a
rather odd squadron, that excels in keeping in touch with each other, but not so much very active
as fliers. I will keep you informed as to my choice of XO, and you are all of course invited to
apply for the post, bearing in mind that as a leader you MUST fly.

Communications:
Unofficial Weekly Wing V Meetings.....Saturdays, the weekly Wing meeting in the Airlock at
1300 HRS EST, 1 PM for those that don't know the 24 hour clock. All pilots of Wing V are
encouraged to attend this meeting so that everyone will be up to date with what is going on in
the Wing, and what the future plans are to continue the awesome growth and prosperity that
Wing V has had in the past couple of months!
