Greetings Aleth Squadron and Wing III Command staff, and welcome to another issue of the Aleth Squadron report! This week was rather interesting, both in Aleth and RL (for me at least). My school had a bomb threat, so we got a nice day outside playing frisbee and stuff. We get several of these a year, so I wasn't too worried. And in Aleth Squadron we saw the end of AC #1 amoung other things. But enough, this isn't the report, this is the introduction for heaven's sake!
Wing III Top Gun Contest Oopsie
At the beginning of last week 4.24.01 to be exact, LC Marden announced that the Wing III Top Gun contest was starting. I forwarded the mail to all of you Alethers the day I got it, but today I received a message from the Hotmail server saying that the message was undeliverable because of an address parsing error (whatever that means). However, since I only got that message today, I didn't know that none of you ever got the message about the Top Gun contest. I'll give you all the information now, but it's due tomorrow, so I don't know if you will have time to do it or not. I appoligize that I didn't parse my address correctly, but it resulted in you guys not having the chance to participate in the Top Gun contest, and for that I'm really sorry. The information is below if any of you think you can cram it in today. The mission is attached.
After getting approval from all authorities, the Top Gun contest may now
begin! Please pass the attatched mission down to your pilots ASAP!
Yes people it's true, I actually found enough time to design a (very
simple) mission for the contest and I expect to get a few free drinks in the
cantina for this ;) !! I plan to put an ongoing plot into it in the future,
but at the moment this simple mission has to be enough :) Everyone has two
weeks to fly this mission and get the scores to me (pilots should CC their
CMDRs).
The deadline is the the 1st of May - the winner will recieve a brand new
IS-BW, the title of "Top Gun of Wing III" for two weeks, bragging rights and
a limited amount of free drinks in the cantina!
So you see participating is well worth it... ;)
Squadron News
LT Stirner transfered from flight 3 to flight 2.
LT Stirner flew numerous missions and battles, completed mIRC 1 IWATS course, and got promoted to Lieutenant. I'm tired!
LT Sunrider completed a couple of missions.
The Aleth Comp #1 is now over, CM Wolverine was the winner and is now entitled to put "Aleth Squadron Ace" in his ID line.
