CMDR/CPT Wil_Striker Reporting on 4-22-01 for Samekh Squadron in Wing V

CPT Wil_Striker sat at his computer terminal deciding whether to beat it into submission, or launch it out the nearest airlock. “Why can’t I get connected to this damn server?” he asked while nursing his eleventh Corellian Ale in the past four hours.
Activating his comm system, he contacted LCM Justin to his office. Within moments Justin appeared, “reporting as ordered sir!”
“Sit down Commander, I’ve got a job for you. I want you to take this message to the BHG and post it on their Message Board.” Justin took the piece of paper and read it over carefully. It read:
‘To all members of the BHG:
Due to constant problems with software created by a being called Bill Gates, I am hereby ordering a bounty on this being. He is wanted ‘Dead or Alive’, preferably alive! His last known location was on the island of Maui on a planet called Earth. An reward of 50,000 Imperial Credits is being issued for his capture.

LCM Justin hurried out of his CMDR’s office and jumped on the first available shuttle headed for the Bounty Hunter’s Guild.

Thanks to MSN and their unreliable servers, I have been offline since Friday morning, and have just now gotten back online to finish my work, and answer the 70+ emails that had piled up while I was gone. My apologies to Samekh and Wing V for my lack of communication. Steps are being taken to ensure this doesn’t happen again!

New Pilot joins Samekh
A new pilot joins us this week from M/PLT Daedaleus! Lets all welcome SL Tark Tanar who hopes to be able to contribute to the activity of Samekh and Wing V! Welcome aboard SL Tark Tanar!
Very Disappointed
No CMDR likes to be known as a hard case, and with the exception of a couple of pilots, and of course SL Tark Tanar since he just joined us, the rest have failed to live up to the promises made when they first joined about keeping up their activity and communication. As a result I am being forced to take steps that I would rather not take, and would prefer not see happen. As of midnight tonight LT Todrin Rossik will be declared AWOL for his lack of activity and communication. I have been lenient in the past two months on this issue, and feel that my compassion in regards to activity has been taken advantage of. Likewise, if I have not had any activity from LT Spawn by 4/28/01, he will be removed from the roster as well. For those of you who have been staying in touch, even while experiencing RL problems, I want to thank you for your dedication to Samekh and Wing V. Your loyalties shall be rewarded.

WING NEWS
Wing V vs. Wing II Comp
Fly TC-TIE #64 and #65 by April 30th. All pilots with TIE Fighter are encouraged to fly this so that we can show Wing II who the truly best wing on the SSSD Sovereign is!
Weekly Wing V Meetings:
Wing V has weekly meetings each Saturday at 1300 HRS EST, 1 PM EST for those that don’t know the 24 hour clock, in the mIRC Undernet #Airlock21 channel! All pilots are welcome to attend, although the primary purpose of these meetings are for Command purposes, all pilots are welcome to inject ideas or thoughts during the meetings. Participation in recent weeks has been virtually non-existent and we really need a better showing from the entire wing if we are to continue our growth and prosperity.

Aylin Squadron, Flight II is still needing a new FL. Any interested parties should contact LC Gen Es’mith to apply.

“However I still need to know the flight status of everyone. Are you able to
fly anything (not just TIE95)? This is especially important as we are
participating in the first of many interwing comps. And I anticipate this
trend to continue. Why? Wing V has the most attention currently (and for
the last several months), because we have been able to maintain our numbers
close to 50. This is quite an achievement. However we must not rest on just
these laurels. Every wing in the TIE Corps will want to challenge us to show
that although they don't have 50 pilots, they have better ones and can beat
us in a flight competition. It is up to us to carry our own weight and fly
when we can, and come up with other activities when we can't.”
LC Es’mith makes a very good point. Even in Samekh, those that have other programs besides TIE95 still don’t participate like they should in events, whether they be at the squad, wing, or ship
level. So I want all pilots to submit a brief report to me as to why you are unable to fly on a regular basis.

Greetings. To facilitate an increase in activity, the Special Operations Director (SOD) is now accepting new project ideas. The only criteria as of right now are as follows:
1. New projects must involved the Emperor's Hammer or once of it's respective subgroups.
2. Any and all suggestions must be original. No cheap knock-offs of other projects or programs.
3. Make them cool! The EH already has a great foundation for doing what it set out to do (being the largest Star Wars organization in the world and all), so let's all contribute to make it an even more fun group to be a part of!
As soon as I get a SpecOps webpage up and running, there will be a submission form for sending in such ideas and suggestions. For now, just send them to me at belair2267@email.com. Hope to hear from you soon!
