Fleet News
Not much of major interest going on in the fleet. Lots of command officer reports. The new NL is out, and your hunble commander had yet another submission featured. Take a look at the 'Articles' section if you're interested. As always, check the TC News page

Wing News
The other squadrons of Wing IX continued with their activities. We have a Top Gun competition going on over in Sword, one of Hammer’s pilots joined Praetorian Squadron, and other interesting things. Squadron News
It’s been a quiet week in Spear, what with exams and other RL activities cutting into our time.

Communication. It needs to be better. If you have any questions as to my requirements for communication, take a look at the Squadron Standing Orders posted at http://spearsquadron.ehonline.org and see what’s expected. At the minimum I need to see a bit of e-mail from you once a week. This lets me know that these WSRs are getting through, and you can just say hello and let me know how things are going. Some of you are very good at this. Others could use some work. I’m not going to point fingers here – you know who you
are…:-P

Miscellaneous
How many pilots in Spear are interested in creating TIE battles? If there’s enough interest, maybe we can conduct a squadron-level clinic covering things like mission plotting, difficulty levels, and so on. Sound off on the SpearSquad list or the message board and let me know. IWATS has a TIE battle creation course, but there are some things that it just doesn’t cover. The Corps needs quality battles and free missions, and I’d like to see Spear contribute some real winners.

My idea for a Spear story is still standing, and I’ve been working on some plot ideas. Look for them to show up on the SpearWrite mailing list. If you’re not on the list, and would like to be, let me know and I’ll get you signed up.
