This is our finest hour people. We are to show what a Kappan is, like never before. We are going to win.

Squadron News

-Well, the fool that speaks has got a promotion...no more Major "pain in the arse" Astarosta...but I guess you'll come up with a load of new ridicule nicks to call me behind my back...So I took the liberty of suggesting a couple. LC Roasty = "Lame Cow" Roasty, LC Roasty = "Living Cabbage" Roasty, and why not LC Roasty = "Longest Colon" Roasty.
In the meantime, you are all invited to live your drunk-life out of my paycheck ;)
Also, congrats to my buddy Stele who also got promoted.

Hey...I took corporal expression classes! Wasn't that good? I felt I was an alarm, and my whole body was shaking with the sound from within...*the pilots cover their contained laughter behind whatever they find on the table*
Fools, you don't know acting.
Anyway, you'll have to feel like THE ALARM THINGEE WAS REAL.
The comp I held for myself and which you may have heard rumors on the past few days is officially approved and about to start!!!
Unlike previous engagements we had, this time the rival won't be another Imperial squadron. I have challenged Wraith Squadron of the Retribution Fleet, Rebel Squadrons.
As I said on the intro, this will be our finets hour. The rebels are prepared to give all they have to take on us, and I PLAN TO MAINTAIN OUR UNDEFEATED STATUS. People, we're going against REBELS!!!! The time for TRUE VICTORY HAS COME!!!
But, as you know, victory doesn't come easily. And as I always say on comps, WE HAVE TO GET 100% PARTICIPATION. But this time this is an ORDER. Wraith has 11 members, and so do we. For this comp, they'll have a guest pilot to have their roster full, and so will we. CM Ninja will fly with us once again. I'm sure all of the Rebels will participate, AND WE MUST NOT FAIL!!! Every pilot on Kappa HAS to fly for this comp, and this is has priority over ANY OTHER FLYING. The comp was scheduled to start today, but within this week I'll send a mail with the precise rules and instructions, along with the 2 missions we'll fly.
What I can say in advance is that this comp will last A FULL MONTH. So, this gives you all plenty of time to complete the missions. I won't accept anything less than 100 % participation.
GOOOO KAPPA!!!! GO WING II!!! GO EMPEROR'S HAMMER!!!!

-The Wing II Pilot League has ended!! Winners for each category have been announced by CM Algaron, be sure to read his mail. I want to specially recognize all the Kappans that participated on this, and most of all the great and constant contribution of one of them. LT Steffen - Daniel Dunkat did a great job by participating on almost every round of this comp, despite having heavy RL workload and almost dropping the comp several times. The contribution to the overall performance of Kappa wont be forgotten, Dunkat ;)

-CM Jan Wemmel has been promoted to LCM on the FMC for his remarkable performance on a critical situation and his overall job. Congrats to our Nurse!!

-LT Dash Riprock has been appointed Intelligence Liaison for Wing II. So if you're planning on making a secret raid on some high ranked officer from the CS personal booze vault, well, don't mention it to Dash :p

-CM Algaron has engaged his next big project. The Historical Site of Kappa compiles brief biographies of past and present Kappans, to have a look at the history of one of the greatest places on this club. -Get your favourite superhero and defender of the Sovereign Pilots a darn suit. I'm shocked every time he flies near me, and it is not good to associate this kind of picture with the politically correct superhero image we have to transmit to our children...although the superheros of these days...sheesh :p
Anyway, make a costume for our non-caped crusader and submit it to Inky. Big prizes for the winner...of course subject to the infamous OPS probably-non-approval-of-TO-approved-medals :p

-The huge Sov Top Gun contest has begun!!! This comp from the hands of Omega's GN Devin and the Fleet Medical Corps will have for result the best pilot of the whole Sovereign!!! Consisting of various eliminatory instances, on the first one you can either fly FREE-TIE 93 or FREE-XWA 17. This phase is due on May 27th, so get your submissions in!!!

-Deus Ex Star Wars Mod

There's a new Star Wars modification starting up for the award winning Deus Ex game. Star Wars Deus Ex: Sins of the Father looks like they're just starting up. Keep their site bookmarked and hope they are more successful than previous Star Wars FPS mods.

-RO/EH Banner Comp
This comp is one of pure graphics. The members will design a banner for either the Emperor's Hammer or the RECON Office. The banners must be 400 x 40 pixels large.

Awards:
First Place: IS-GR
Second Place: IS-SR
Third Place: IS-BR

Depending on the number of submissions for each category - EH or RO - will determine if awards are given for each category.

-New IO Topic Logo Needed

This is a call out to all of you graphically talented people out there. I'm getting tired of my crappy IO Topic Logo for ehnet.org, that I recycled out of previously made graphics.



I want something that says "EH", and "Internet" graphicaly (not through text). I will award a Palpatine Crescent (PC) for the best graphic submitted to me. Graphics submitted should be 300x300 pixels (I will resize it down to about 64x64, so make sure it looks good small also), and in high quality PNG, or JPEG format (no gifs please). Please email all submissions to io@absolutek.com.

-Sovereign Top Gun Competition
Omega Squadron and the Fleet Medical Corps are sponsoring a ship-wide competition to determine who the number one TIE and XWA pilot on the Sov is. All pilots are encouraged to fly either Free TIE #93 or Free XWA #17 and turn it into their CMDRs no later than May 27th. If you have any questions, please contact General Devin.

This is a great opportunity for you to get some recognition for yourself, your squadron and your wing - take advantage of it!

-XvT Week of Wars
A reminder to all XvT M-players out there, WoWs has started today! Get out there and start flying!

-ISD Subjugator opens

Over the past several months the SSD Avenger has grown dramatically, both in terms of size and activity. This is undoubtedly due to the hard work of not only the pilots onboard, but also the Officers. This success has allowed for a relatively rare event - the opening of a new ISD and Wing! Both myself, and Vice Admiral Firefox decided that the time was right to add this new Ship to the Fleet, so Wing XX and it's parent ship, the ISD Subjugator have been activated. The Subjugator, attached to the Avenger, is a Dark Brotherhood ship - which means that all pilots onboard are also members of the DB.

This opening also brings some changes with it:

Avenger Wings I and II have been renamed to Wings XVIII & XIX respectively.
Although the Subjugator will be an independent ship in terms of everyday function, the new COM will be subordinate to Vice Admiral Firefox in terms of seniority (and hence report to him with important decisions). The COM will also act as his XO and step in as and when needed.
It is important to note that these two ships do NOT form a Battlegroup.
Applications for the new Commodore are now being accepted. The requirements are as follows:

You must have been in the TIE Corps for at least ONE year.
No HCI convictions.
A working knowledge of all Fleet protocols and policies.
Command experience at Wing Commander level or above (the more the better).
Extensive use of IRC.
You must also be a member of the Dark Brotherhood.
All applications should be sent to Vice Admiral Firefox & Fleet Admiral Priyum and they should arrive within the week. Once the new COM is in place, applications for Wing XX WC will be taken, but not until then.
