The first "real" week has now passed for Scorpion squadron, and our numbers are up to 7! This is indeed great news! Also, as a reminder, I would like all of you report in every week, even if you haven't done anything at all. Another note is that I (finally) have gotten my cable, thus my email has changed to mushkot@telia.com so everyone update your address books!
Fleet news:
- After a selection process that took longer than expected, the new ISD Subjugator COM has been picked: Congratulations to Rear Admiral Jeff 'Tiger' Loruss! Tiger is an experienced Wing Commander, and has a lot to offer the new ship. With this promotion, there are two Wing Commander positions open, for Wings XIX and XX. Applications for both are now being accepted, with the following qualifications/requirements:
* You must have been a member of the TIE Corps for at least SIX months.
* No HCI Convictions.
* You must have a working knowledge of Fleet policies and protocols.
* Experience at CMDR level or above.
* Extensive use of IRC.
* Must be a member of good standing in the Dark
Brotherhood.
Applications for either position must be sent to both Vice Admiral Firefox and Rear Admiral Tiger. You must indicate clearly which position you are applying for and applications will be accepted for one week. Failure to follow these simple instructions will result in your email being ignored/deleted/lost. NO applications for CMDRs are being accepted at the
moment. These will be dealt with once the new WCs are in place.
- The ASP Course is now online. Check it out at www.imperialacademy.org/asp/.
- IWATS, the premier training academy of the EH, has once again passed another milestone. Eight thousand (8,000) graduates since HA Astatine became Dean. That's over the period of just over 3 years.
WING NEWS:
- The WC and BGCOM commanders have been talking about updating the ASF wings fighters and, if all things have gone right, they should be sitting in our hangers.
- ViB is back online, pilots are making missions and fiction. If you want to help, contact Admiral Ender mBind. The site is at: http://www.gimmie.tudelft.nl/homes/blok10b/ender/vib/.
Squadron news:
- We have now our own message board! URL is http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/view.asp?b=55
- There willl be a competiton agains Wasp coming up! Expect more details for this as things get sorted out.
- LT Torak is working on a Squadron homepage. For this homepage, we will need banners! All of you with graphic skills, get to work and send it in! You will be awarded an ISM. If we have enough participation in this, the best banner will take it's place as the official Scorpion squadron banner!
- Also, I would need suggestions if we should change the squadron motto and nickname, and if so, into what? What we do need for sure is flight mottos and nicknames. Suggestions people, suggestions!
- The change of the crafts of flight II and III is delayed, but should be processed in the near future.
