Koph Report # 39 (2001-06-01)

This report was submitted by LC Firebird

Pilots of Koph Squadron:

Tonight is the last night of the competition with Wing V. I was able
to send three submissions to LC Joe for the competition, so with any
luck all the other squadrons in Wing VI will submit at least as many
to make up the difference. Great job to those that participated!

In other news, Koph has a new pilot! Captain Vuffi has joined us from
the reserves (and from the ISD Challenge before that). If you haven't
yet, please welcome the Captain to his new home in Wing VI.

I would like to pronouce the first Northwest US EH meet a wonderful
success! LCM Torey and met for the first time this afternoon and drove
up to see AD Slade, and LCM Kadath from Demon Squadron in Wing XI. We
were also going to have SA Kawolski come along, but unfortunately he
got sick and had to go home before we arrived at AD Slade's house. LCM
Torey, you may add an "RL" to your squadron ID line to indicate that
you've gone to a real life EH meet while in Koph. If any of you other
folks go to an EH meet while you are a member of Koph, please let us
know about it.

Your new Squadron ID lines are:
LC Firebird - WCOx2/RL/XIV/SCE/BLK/KA
LCM Torey - RL/KAx2

After careful analysis and reflection on the event, I have come to the
conclusion that the other three participants are terrible at
mini-golf, and I am destined to be the next Tiger Woods. All I need is
a set of golf clubs, and to maybe go play real golf once or twice.

Looking forward to the next month's activities, I am not sure what our
stalwart Wing Commander has planned. This means that it will soon be
time to challenge both Cyclone and Zayin Squadrons to rematches. Once
we have beaten both of them, all Koph's losses will be redeemed and we
can move onto bigger and better things. I realize that not many of you
were actually here when we flew against Cyclone or Zayin the first
times, but just work with me on this one ;)

Our citations are holding steady at 8. I am working on a small
addition to the Koph web site that will list the battles flown by each
pilot and calculate our citations to make it easy to figure out which
battle to fly to get the biggest bang for your buck. For the moment,
just poke through Iceman's record on www.tiecorps.org and fly one of
those... (http://www.tiecorps.org/rosters/combatrecord.asp?record=261)

Finally, the Koph Ace of the Week goes to CPT Vuffi Raa, as it is
Koph's long standing tradition to give the Koph Ace to the new pilot
on his first week in the squadron. Thanks for the drinks, Vuffi :)

Your new Squadron ID line is:
Captain Vuffi Raa - KA
