News
Well first of all, let me explain something. As was stated in my emails
on the 16th and 17th, someone passed me a email virus. My virus prog did
not pick it up, so the message opened normally, and was allowed to do
it's thing. Granted it was only some wsh and vbscript, and it was pretty
simple, but after seeing the extent it was allowed into my system, i
just didnt trust the rest of the files on there, and reformatted >;)
Nothing beats an ol fdisking for me ;P I had everything except the last
week backed up, so it is not really a loss for me. It has been alot more
fun to tear down my system and re-evaluate the programs i was using,
etc. It worries me that I have got no replies to this. Please send me a
mail saying youre all up and running and flying 165 and that this
cheesey virus did not infect ya :) On the down side, Merit Points and
ATR's cannot be calculated for this week.
So next. I'm all back to work, and I'm thinking... the administrative
overhead of this squadron is HUGE! Weekly reports are little to none -
I'm doing OK, sent you some TFR's, etc. I like getting these kind of
mails, don't get me wrong, but I dont think its the plan that was
envisioned originally. I think this could work a lot smoother if every
pilot wrote their own ATR's and Merit point calculations. This will only
reduce the amount of work slightly for me, as i'll still be checking the
weekly submissions anyways, but it will keep everyone more involved.

OK. On to more news. Our friend RA Shadd has picked up some sort of
"virus" as well, and subsequentially retired from his position. Let this
particular "virus" be now known as "The Weasel's Madness". Side effects
are that you bail to the Reserves and search out colonies of the BoC
(Brotherhood of Crown) in distant galaxies... you have been warned :P
Fortunately, our squad mate CPT Ritsuko Akagi was promoted to Rear
Admiral and the COM of our DGN Lichtor V. Congrats Akagi! /me sets up
the hangar bay boxing ring for a RA vs RA match, new against old COM! :P

CM Dodger finally has been promoted to CPT! Way to go Captain Dodger,
you sure earned that one :)
Although there has still been no official mails yet, I believe we are in
a comp right now, Colossus Elite vs Praetorian. Fly TC Battle 165 before
the 24th of this month. Good Luck everyone! tfr's are due to me on the
night of the 23rd. There will be no other priorities than this, let's
show em some high scores on this new battle ;)
I have put a lot of thought into the flurry of mails that surrounded
suggestions that we move the squad, and have decided to take a more
conservative stance. Although email debates one thing, the squad is more
important than anything. I am only here to keep you guys happy, and to
serve my immediate superiors. If I fail at either of these, any other
activies are useless. This is all behind us now. /me buys drinks for
the whole crew. Let us forge on and woop some more ass :P
