COO Report # 18 (2015-03-01)

This report was submitted by COO-LOA/VA Crsepe/TC-4/VSDII Aggressor

Welcome to the Combat Operations Office report #18 and the 2014 wrap up!

A lot has happened this past year, some good, some bad. It saw the addition of LC Plif as the COOA, and seen the loss of a couple of our most active Star Conflict pilots. But we are the TC, we will continue forward as always. The new year will prove to be interesting and challenging, we hope, as we roll out new competitions and update the current ones.

Competition results:
Star Conflict Objectives: VA Elwood the Brave earned a IS-GW with 297 points, LCM Hellionexus earned a IS-SW with 158 points, and MAJ Iceman earned a IS-BW with 72 points.
MP Ace of December: VA Elwood the Brave earned a IS-GW with 184 points, LCM Hellionexus earned a IS-SW with 88 points, and MAJ Iceman earned a IS-BW with 66 points.
MP Ace of 2014: MAJ Landon Cruise earned a IS-PW with 1984 points, LC Plif earned a IS-GW with 1213 points, and LCM Hellionexus earned a IS-SW with 927 points.
COO Monthly Challenge: LCM Hellionexus earned the coveted DFC with 29 kills/assists.

(I would like to make a point on the MP Ace of 2014, MAJ Cruise, though while now in the Reserves, did fly for all but the last couple of weeks in 2014. Because of this, and his hard work and dedication to recruitment, I saw no reason why he shouldn't be awarded first place for MP Ace of 2014.)

A non-COO competition that I ran was Pazaak! The results were not what I had hoped for but LC Kyle Kroan beat LT Kryysta Calthranus 5-2. So for their efforts, I will be awarded the both an IS-SR and IS-BR, respectively. I would like to continue to host this competition, but with the turn out last month, I am going to hold off. What I will do is this: Assume the competition is active, the rules are the same, the awards are the same, with an addendum if 5 or less participate, then the awards will be IS-SR,BR. I will create the competition when, and only when, there are 3 or more participants who have submitted matches to me. I, of course, will answer any questions or comments in regards to this (Dan, I'm going to assume you will have some Emoji).

This year this office is changing/updating the MP Ace of 2015, you will no longer be required to send in a screenshot for this competition. Myself and LC Plif already track all numbers when we process LoC submissions, so we just took out that one extra step that most of you forgot quite a bit last year.

Competitions:
COO Monthly Challenge - This competition will be for the coveted DFC. Your goal will be to get the highest number of kills you can get in one round of Star Conflict's Domination or Team Battle modes. So in other words, you will need to get as many kills as you can during Domination or Team Battle. Numbers will be tracked by myself and LC Plif when we process LoC submissions.
MP Ace of the TIECorps - The MP Kill Board will used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition, and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc. At the end of the year the top 3 pilots with the most points will receive IS-PW/GW/SW. XWA, XvT, Star Conflict, and Freelancer-Freeworlds are the authorized platforms for this competition.
Wingman - This will encompass all modes of Star Conflict. Your goal is to get the highest assist count in a single mission.
Star Conflict PvE Initiative - Over the course of January, fly Star Conflict PvE missions for fun and rewards! Take a screenshot of the Debriefing page that pops up at the end of each successful mission, and send your screenshots to VA Crsepe (crsepe@gmail.com) and LC Plif (plif346@gmail.com) at the end of the month. Screenshots should be in by midnight on February 2nd at the latest.
