. . . Vice Admiral Astin Reporting In On March 27, 2009 . . .

. . . News. . .

Well, I've finally decided to actually put some time and effort into my reports, to make them a bit more readable and organized. IWATS is now more or less over 50% online, with most of the offline courses being mostly technical subjects that I'm not qualified to properly mark. To get around that problem, I've done some restructuring with the IWATS staff. The Dean Assistant position has been reduced to one, and I've brought on RA Jedi Eclipse to fill that position. RA Eclipse will be offering invaluable help with the technical courses. Once he gets situated, you can expect to see many of those technical courses to begin coming online.

Before I went on leave I was able to get X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Mission design back online. IWATS Core is now mostly entirely complete, however I cannot put it online until the TIE Corps Pilot's Manual, authored by our Strategic Operations Officer, is approved and put online. Once IWATS Core is online, PLT Daedalus will have a fully operational training program that includes both academic and flight certification. Cadets can currently still complete training even though the course is offline, it will just take a bit more time.

. . . Closing Comments  . . .

Nice work by CPT Ard Royber for completing 3 courses this week. IWATS activity has been somewhat light since I began putting courses online. CMDRs and WCs, I'd like to see some competitions that involve IWATS courses. These competitions can be simple and if advertised properly can really boost IWATS activity.

In closing, I'd like to thank Uther and Master for their time as Dean Assistants.
