Epsilon Squadron Weekly Report – 2nd June 2014

CMDR-TCS/COL Dunta Polo here reporting in for Epsilon squadron.

Squadron activity was respectable just before Raise the Flag, although I regret to report that LC Nile Rosenau has departed for the reserves due to RL time constraints. Epsilon MP Ace of the Month in May was won by LT Jeffery Donger (thanks to engagements flown before his transfer), with SP Ace of the Month going to GN Dax Corrin. They receive an IS-SW and IS-BW respectively. Epsilon Student of the Month goes to LT Jarion Renalds, along with an IS-BR. LC Gyssler continued to show well in Hammer on Patrol, placing second in the XvT category this week and third overall in May. For my part, I won the XWA category for the week and placed fourth overall in the month.

Now that RtF is well under way, it is clear the competition will be tough: in just 2 days, over 300 SP missions have been flown. The first bonus competition (fiction) has 6 days remaining for entries - a lot of points are up for grabs down to fourth place and even 5 points just for participating. Meanwhile, SOO Styles has completed work on an automated activity tracking system, which will reduce headaches for squadron commanders - especially given the email notification problems we have seen recently. Over at the Tactical Office, Dempsey has released an XWA craft pack that functions similarly to the EHSP patches for other platforms; this will allow 64-bit users to fly battles that require these craft, a long overdue addition to the database. COO Crsepe Tripan was promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral for his work in rejuvenating multiplayer activities. CMDR Landon Cruise's recruitment efforts have been second to none over the week, with multiple pilots joining the TIE Corps as a result.
