Right... A LoA finally over at long last, unfortunately having stretched far longer than originally expected. Many thanks first off to Mell for shepherding the squad through the last fortnight. We've seen a few changes, noticeably the loss of CPT Flelm to Sin 5 as a FL, so we can hardly deny him the opportunity to shine and progress! We wish him and Sin alike all the best, particularly as the alternative could have been losing him to the Hammer. RtF looms large on the horizon, but until then we have an opportunity to plan, prepare, and hopefully hit the ground running for June.

What has been missed in the last 14 days... MSE medals are all fully awarded, flying activity has continued from numerous sources, and the last two rounds of Op Thetan have drifted by without my being able to properly assess them. A number of changes have been made to the MP reporting pages in the database which have somewhat streamlined reporting, assuming of course that you're flying and winning! XW matches can now also be reported, however only one of you has ever fired one my way, so Yoda is welcome to keep up the flow of BSFs. I'd urge you all to read up on the COMs report for his currently running competitions, as well as our own - -BWs are an easy source of FCHG and not to be sniffed at, join Yoda in challenging the COM!

Congratulations to Flelm and Yoda on their BWs for 3rd place in last months Ace of the TC MP and SP respectively, as well as to Mark and Gilad for their ISMs, Flelm's PC, and Yoda's BS. All were greatly deserved and a strong indicator of continued success in Theta so far. Optimism from me is hard to come by, but its beginning to emerge! May just be a result of Summer arriving on this sceptred isle...

As a sidenote the squadron nicknames have been added for Flights 2 and 3, with 1 adopting The Bus for obvious reasons - mottoes have yet to be selected and I'll be consulting FLs for their preferences soon.

Theta Competitions

As above, Operating Thetan MP/SP are running, with scores now reset after the 1st 4 week rotation. All comps will run on a weekly basis and be reviewed at the end of 2014. I'm always open to further addition or suggestion, open door policy remains. The winner for the week of May 5th-11th is none other than Keth with 12 LoCs flown, with Gilad trailing in his wake - however I was the only SP flyer so no medal awarded there. keth - your IS-BW is winging its way towards you as we speak!

What in the name of Palpatine is this thing, I've heard it moving around for weeks and you all called me mad! I had to rig a bloody tripwire in my own cabin, and then stun the damned thing like a demented Jawa... Why is there a mouse droid living in my quarters and why the hell am I finding this out now?!? I demand answers, oh no SOO, stay right there - I can see you edging towards that turbolift, the same goes for you Theta Leader - I can't prove a damned thing but I know this has your bunch of miscreant's names written all over it... I'm back again, hopefully for at least a little while longer. My absences are far from ideal and led to my stepping down as SOO, but I'll be here with theta for as long as I can guarantee that I'm giving you guys the time and attention you need, the day that isn't happening - or that you feel it isn't happening - I need to know so that the right actions can be taken before we slip prior to RtF. June is coming...
