Welcome to the twentysecond Beta Squadron Weekly Report!

We had a more lively week, with some Star Conflict activity and a lot of comms on the mailing lists.

The biggest news of course was the commissioning of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Warrior, which made me spend several hours in front of TTT to get the fleet updated uniforms. Julon and Kenath were both playing some SC, and most of the squadron participated in the trivia.
In other great news, our hotshot lieutenant commander, Julon, has earned himself a rare Distinguished Flying Cross! Marvelous flying, commander! Three Betans have also had the honor to be called a member of Avenger Squadron for MP activities in March! Most excellent performance!

I still don't know anything about Doyon and Dillion, if anybody has any information about what they are doing nowadays, please step forward and brief me.

The HamCom, RA Elwood has posted some competitions for Wing I, you can find the link to these competitions in the bottom of this WSR. RA Styles was kind enough to make our lives easier with an updated squadron citation list, which you can find here.

The shootout between Han Solo and Greedo inside the Cantina was the subject for a lot of controversy and debate among Star Wars fans as to who shot first. Many fans debated that Greedo actually shot first a split second before Solo did, but with careful examination of the scene, it was obvious that Greedo never fired his shot at all. For the 1997 Special Edition release of this movie, George Lucas had edited the scene to include Greedo shooting first at Solo at point blank range, with Solo moving his head slightly to the right to dodge the shot before firing back at Greedo. The shooting scene was edited for a third time for the 2004 DVD release, so that both Greedo and Han Solo fired their guns more or less at the same time.

Julon Lommax: Lieutenant Commander Lommax has been presented with a Distinguished Flying Cross for achieving 22 kills in a single Star Conflict Domination battle, as well as an Iron Star with Bronze Wings! Excellent work, commander, keep it up!
