Where do I even start this week... new name, old faces might be most appropriate - a slow week in some cases, a busy one for other pilots (Yoda and Flelm!). For those of you living in a cave we have witnessed a rare sight, the opening of a TC vessel rather than the decommissioning so many of us had grown used to over the years. The ISD Warrior is without a history at the minute and its down to us to shape it, and the reputation of Theta, our new identity. Lambda burned brightly for the 7 weeks we had it, but we've moved on, however I don't intend for this to signal a change of pace. Business carries on usual, albeit with a few interesting additions. HA Frodo now rules the Warrior with an iron fist (probably) as COM, a position I am very happy to see return, while Gamma is Kappa, we are Theta, and Alpha are Sigma. As a group we are Wing II and all old loyalties are naught but dust - our ultimate objective can now only be the humbling of Wing I and the Shammer at every turn... That being said, congratulations to now RA Elwood the Brave, however I think Kappa may well have a grudge to bear for some time!

Suffice to say I look forward to the ship v ship intrigues that are likely to develop, and more importantly the next few years of the TC. Hopefully old faces will continue to return from the Phoenix, particularly as their glorious leader has done a glorious runner. Hopefully like rats leaving a sinking ship the rest will follow, likely leaving Tempest to turn off the lights! Or be Kappa CMDR, whatever he fancies.

On to business - the MSE will be compiled following this report, I had held off on Lambda #8 until confirmation of the Warrior was made, however I was overtaken by its speedy opening, hence this reports rapid repackaging, hopefully I've not missed a Lambda that should read Theta! The old squad mottoes and similar will be transferred over, however a new banner is currently under construction. Theta is too easy a dig at scientology to miss, so for a few weeks at least I apologise for the terrible attempts at humour. On the bright side Theta is the Greek symbol the ancients connected to death, so we'll perhaps channel that vibe.

The pending comps of a few days ago have been re-submitted, of note a brief trivia comp will follow this report - 4 faces, mail me with the name of the actor, and the character he/she portrays. Each correct name gets a point, with the first person submitting all 8 correct answers earning a bonus mark. Submissions will be taken only once per pilot, so make sure you're confident, answers will be accepted until the issuing of a following WSR - just to add a random element...

In addition weekly Theta MP and SP kill board leaders will earn the heady title of Operating Thetan MP/SP and an IS-BW simply for being awesome, and leading their fellow Thetans in flight activity of course, with an IS-SW for the monthly leader in either category.

I'd ask everyone to check in and encourage active comms on the new Theta and Wing II lists, in addition a number of wing and TC comps are presently being opened up, so the competition page is your friend. Another 48 hours or so remains in the discussion of a new uniform accent colour - I'm with dark red, but whatever your preference mail it to Zos and try to include the hex code, lest your Crimson be confused with Ruby, or even the dreaded Scarlet...

Prima Inter Pares

Yoda's sterling 316 missions in the month has claimed SP Ace and a first scalp as far as I am concerned for Theta, congratulations and keep up the fantastic work.

Special mention has to go to a non Thetan today, a hearty welcome to the returning HA Frodo, not so much an equal, but certainly the boss. Its great to see an officer with such a history and proven track record returning to the fold, however unwillingly!

...I really don't get this, the Warrior and Hammer are both ISDIIs, they were built together, in the same orbital yard, to the same plan, so why can't I find my cabin, a cabin on the same deck and section as on the Hammer... what do you mean internal layouts were changed to confuse enemy boarders. That's a bloody stupid idea, all you've done is confuse ME! Right, find the naval architects name, I'm going to find his house and rearrange its internal layout, see how smug he looks then the self-righteous arrogant pri.. ...

CMDR's Corner

Times they are a changing, and yet everything has the hint of familiarity. Here's looking forward to April, personally having scraped my way to Decurion as of yesterday I've managed to reach another of my personal goals on the road to GN (hopefully). I've found over the years that some goals are beyond my reach, but others spur me on to activity I would never have anticipated. I'd like you all to take a few seconds, look at your FCHG, rank, CR, whatever, and think to yourself "I can improve that", you never know what might happen with a little ambition.
