Another busy period has flown by and activity has begun to rise again, spurred on perhaps by our latest arrival - I'd like to once again welcome CPT Flelm back to the ranks of the living dead and specifically Lambda's famed Flight I. That leaves us with a single free seat and I'm keen to see it filled, my shuttle needs another gunner at the very least!

A busy period for myself over the last 10 days has led to the irregular timing of this report and I'm keen to avoid repeating the same again in weeks to come. One of the key reasons for my stepping down from SOO as I couldn't guarantee availability at times, and that has a knock on effect as has been self-evident. That being said I am content that we have a good thing going in Lambda, and I'm backed by two able and hilariously over-experienced FLs. I'm very lucky to be CMDRing this squad, and I will do all I can to ensure it gets the level of activity from me that it deserves.

You've all expressed an interest in weekly comps focusing on non-flight capability, so I'll be looking to implement a simple trivia comp in the next few days, initially within the SW universe but with scope to exceed it. Hopefully this will allow for those not presently SP/SCing to contribute to the squadron on their own terms. On an similar note I'm very happy to see reports of MUD based activity, many thanks to Mark and D00n for their efforts on this front - I will even be trying it myself as and when I'm able, but my MUD memories are limited to the Discworld MUD of the early 2000s, so no promises on that front of any success!

I'll be looking to issue and accept another MP challenge next week following our comp with Beta, so an open notice is out to Delta, Gamma, Alpha, and Epsilon - while anyone of them can happily stand a chance of either falling victim to or thrashing us, I'm equally confident that we can either make them work for it or quite simply ambush and overpower them. Uncertainty is the true spice of life.

MSEs and MoCs have now been fully issued, congratulations have already been issued so I won't repeat myself, but many thanks to all of you who have contributed so much already - its your efforts that are shaping this squadron as we move along towards a greatly more optimistic future than I think we could have expected even 12 months ago!

Prima Inter Pares

Shared by D00n and Mark this week for their efforts with the MUD, it's good to see older elements of our history being dragged back into the light of the 21st century and hopefully their efforts will be rewarded with a functional means of contributing activity to the rest of Lambda. Well done gents!

Operational Picture

...Well that was an interesting training exercise, to be fair to them the shuttle was a surprise, I assumed it was a medevac craft right up to the point that it attempted to ram me and dumped simulated mines. Is that within the rules of war? What, there aren't any? That can't be right, what kind of Empire goes around attacking civilians and shooting first... ours you say? oh…

...I know we're trying to boost our numbers and recruitment, but just because we're missing a 12th man doesn't mean we can stuff a protocol droid into a flighsuit and name it... what's this? Dan BOTini... that's ridiculous even for us, get it off the shuttle and put it somewhere else - even better, stuff it into an Admirals uniform and follow me, I've got an idea...
