12 days has flown by rather too quickly for comfort, with a lot of activity at either end and a lull in the middle. My own LoA has concluded a few days later than planned, but such is the nature of work - the LoA baton has been passed to D00n, hopefully jetlag won't impede the resurrection of the MUD. I'm keen to see how it pans out, particularly as most of you will remember the 1st iteration, even if I don't!

Events of note... the SC challenge against Beta concluded in our favour, in the end we were able to forge a substantial lead that, as much as anything, may well have broken the will to resist. It was a damned close run thing and uncomfortable at times but I'm pleased to say the squadron pulled together with 6 of us registering wins - and even those flying one or two were critical to our success as a whole. Yoda, Horus, Keth, Mell, Gilad - the IS-BWs were well earned! We've thus stolen the imaginary title of COOs Escort Squadron, albeit confused by the COO's latter declaration of an honorary Avenger Squadron every month which happens to include a few familiar Lambdans... Suffice to say I will continue to simply claim we're the best until informed otherwise.

Now that I'm back from my brief sojourn I hope to continue building activity, the MSE was submitted a few minutes into the month and is pending approval from an IT-embuggered SOO, so stand-by for further updates on the front. Equally I'm not impressed by the continued gap in my own flight - myself and Keth are lonely sitting in Flight I, so if you know old-timers yet to return or family members keen to follow your inglorious and nerdy footsteps, now is the time to press them into Imperial service.

A minor change was approved to our roster several weeks back but has not been implemented as yet due to the SOOs LoA. The TCCOM has approved a change in squadron role to Insertion/Extraction, with Flight I now operating a Sentinel class combat support shuttle/assault craft. We might as well do things differently here in Lambda if only for the double entendres and amusement that Lambda flying a shuttle may fleetingly bring. To clarify our squadron role is now anything from the extraction of spec ops teams or assets to the deployment of specialist sensors and everything in between. The flight is operating a single shuttle, relegating Keth to act as my official co-pilot, however as CMDR my co-pilot will in fact be doing all of the flying...

Prima Inter Pares

This week's tacky new feature is geared towards acknowledging a pilot who has exceeded even our own somewhat obscene standards. This week I'd like to draw attention to GN Pickled Yoda who despite the heady rank of GN and his colossal weight of FCHG/medals continues to impress and fly. This week has seen a further 99 missions, with 22 of those Mission High Scores, contributing to 3 Battle High Scores. Thats 45 HSs and 6 BHSs in 2 weeks... and even better its hacked chunks out of a rival CMDRs own FCHG - truly in the spirit of Lambda!
