A few points of note this week, the last 7 days having been packed with activity of one sort or another. First things first, congratulations to GN pickled Yoda on proving that quantity doesn’t preclude quality, with 23 Mission High Scores and 3 battle High Scores swelling his already significant portfolio of missions flown. Joined with Mark and D00N there is a solid core of flying that is good to see. We may have sold our souls to Star Conflict at present, but its worth remembering where our origins and loyalties lie.

On to the dreaded Star Conflict… the comp with Beta rumbles on, at present the scoring stands at 63-58, with 4 pilots on each squad having flown, and no doubt multiple LoCs pending. My deliberate attempts to provoke got the desired response and I am ecstatic that ourselves and Beta have managed to get into it and continue to contest it so closely that at this stage victory could go either way! These are the kind of comps I want to see more of, and in all honesty win or lose we can hold our heads high, as can our comrades lower in the alphabet.

However, I want to win! So this is a last call for all SC capable Lambdans to get online and submit those MP victories, I have several pending and will be flying moretonight – around my actual career and social life, so if I can do it there are no excuses! Full squad activity over the last week is listed below, I’m keen to see the quieter pilots more, but with time activity will come.

Lambda Competitions

The first round of the Lambda open SC challenge is currently in progress and all joking aside is proving to be an exciting competition. Beta are strong opponents and matching us step for step at present, so before its conclusion on the 7th we need to see all capable pilots stepping up and pulling their weight. Star Conflict MP victories are my priorirty at this point, defeat is not an option!

...what do they think they’re playing at, I’m a bloody Colonel, they can’t do this to me. Where’s the respect, where’s the loyalty, where’s the… where’s my dress uniform… oh fantastic, its bonded to the deckhead… and those would be my boots nailed to the back of the door… Lambda!!!…

...The current rate of repairs required from Lambda is absolutely uncalled for, what are they doing to their craft that is causing triple the level of structural surveys and repair? Look at this incident report, 2-ship patrol “no significant contacts to report” – this carbon scarring is a turbo-laser at the very least, the motivator on this one blew out when they jumped back. Right, someone’s going to bloody swing for this. Summon their CMDR, NOW!...

CMDR's Corner

Another productive week, seemingly with minimal input from myself – a happy situation and one that will hopefully continue for many more months to come. The comp against Beta remains my priority and beyond that a mid to long term attempt to increase our numbers in readiness in anticipation of a new ship opening. Until then, keep doing what you’re doing…
