Lambda Squadron WSR #2

A second WSR goes to show that with enough distraction and outright deception the wool can be pulled over anyones eyes, as a squadron we've survived the initial stages and we're going from strength to strength. Most importantly our 4 has become 6, so with COL Schueler and MAJ Nebular to add to our roster we're able to claim battle citations (53) as well as begin the long term plan of outright domination/subjugation of our rivals. I'll rely on the fact they're to lazy/illiterate to read this, thus preserving the super top secret plan...

As hoped Star Conflict has led to some good squadron activity, with myself, Mell, and Keth holding up the MP side, while Mark has staked our claim and name on the SP kill board. More of the same will be a solid foundation for further success - a 1-2-3 on the MP kill board may be a distant target, but I don't believe it to be unrealistic - more likely if we can encourage further SC use in the squad or better still recruit some talent. 74 LoCs this week so far...
A last point, congratulations to the members of the fleet rewarded with CoLs for the EHs 19th birthday, originally including our own FL COL Mell Kerrigan. His own principles led him to turn down the award and I think we need, as a squad, to commend his integrity. Its an easy thing to just stay quiet but it takes character to turn down an award. Its a damned good principle for us all to take some inspiration from, and a good benchmark for our identity as a squad.

Lambda Competitions


Lambda Unleashed - Lambda needs a banner, simple as that. Ideally a variation on the 95th Fighter Squadrons "death with finesse" skeleton - but go wild and get creative, the cheesier the better! Open to all, with an IS-SR and -BR available to the top two entries. All submissions to myself, deadline of 2359 GMT Feb 17th. NO ENTRIES so far, which is a better indicator that your effort will be rewarded. The alternative will be my own effort on msPaint designed to humiliate us all for our laziness!


Operational Picture


...The current expenditure being generated by this one squadron is intolerable, there's only 6 of them, but they've fired off enough live warheads to maintain a wing through a campaign. You get whatever excuse they have for a CMDR into my office like it was yesterday so I can tear him a new arsehole... jumped up CM fresh from the academy no doubt... a COL? GOE? ex-SOO? ex-FO and TCCOM? ex-COMM?... erm... Look theres 9 in this squadron and they're claiming rations for 12, get whatever excuse they have for a CMDR...

...Average intake of alcohol and toxins has been observed nightly but does not appear to be affecting flight performance or even showing up on pre-flight safety and medical inspections. My subordinates have confirmed no testing error which leaves the inescapable conclusion that decades of this lifestyle have somehow left them largely immune to its effects, as proven by the sorry condition of my Nursing Officers this morning after their attempts to act as a control sample...

CMDR's Corner


Things are going well, which is usually a dangerous sign and means the imminent problems are'nt yet obvious... However I'm pleased to say that as a squadron we are putting down our marker. We're two weeks away from an MSE and i'm keen to ensure that everyone is represented with true and accurate activity and earns the award to which they are entitled. I can only do this with your help and support, so I'm relying on you. This is a pastime not a chore, so remember that and if at any point you have any issues just drop me a line. Its as simple as that...

This coming week I'm keen to increase our numbers, the TCCOM is running his own RSV contact drive, but if you know guys/gals that are off the grid or otherwise absent then now is the time to mention the TCs latest and best squadron to them.
