Welcome to the twelveth Beta Squadron Weekly Report!

We had a moderately successful week, with lots of communications but less activity. It did not help my case that yesterday Steam gave a 75% discount on Duke Nukem Forever: The Doctor Who Cloned Me and the Hail to the Icons Parody Pack, so I ended up massively sidetracked for a couple hours instead of attending to my CMDR duties. Before that, I was playing Uplink: Hacker Elite, and I'm afraid none of these games qualify as an approved activity for the TC. I did manage to update some uniforms though, fortunately.

This late report has one advantage: I can happily announce the promotion of Lieutenant Upsidexumop, who is now a Lieutenant Commander! Congratulations, commander, see you on patrol! Ragnar Thorzan also got promoted to full Lieutenant last week, so drinks are on him as well! I failed to dodge an incoming Major's rank badge hurled at me by the TCCOM, so I had to take my Captain insignia off. That also means that I will have some wiki activity this week trying to update things, which is good.

Next week Beta will jump on the bandwagon and will have it's own Trivia competition. It's good to give people the opportunity to earn some Ribbons. I'll submit the competition for approval sometime this week, and hopefully it'll be all set for next Monday.

George Lucas was so sure the film (Star Wars: A New Hope) would flop that instead of attending the premiere, he went on holiday to Hawaii with his good friend Steven Spielberg, where they came up with the idea for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
