TIE Corps Command Report
Weekly Report #41 – Submission date: December 22nd 2013
Introduction

Greetings,

It has been a quiet week indeed…well, until someone shouts “it’s too quiet!”, which is nice to see people care. Of course, the quietness is to be expected due to the holidays, for which I’d like to mention I’ll be mostly on semi-leave. But was this week really that quiet? Let’s see…

First, we had the promotion of CPT John T. Clark to the rank of Major! Congratulations on a very well deserved promotion, Major Clark! A promotion to Major is a major promotion, so there, we have a great event right there.

For me it’s a big working week, as adding former members mails to the TC Reservists mailing list progresses, mostly at the rate of 100 adds per day, which is what Google allows. With three thousand mails to add, you do the math. The funny thing was that people started speaking to each other and meeting former friends, which made the reservists quite active these past few days. Oh the irony. None manifested intentions to return so far, though. Even so, it’s nice to see some old friends, like Maverick and Deimos.

We have a new member! Welcome to SL Ragnar Thorzan, who completed training in Platform Daedalus and joined Beta Squadron. Congratulations are in order to LT Jarion Renalds, who was awarded the Medal of Instruction for recruiting SL Thorzan! New member joining? That makes a week great all by itself. Again, welcome, Thorzan, hope you have a great time here!

The last of the November MSEs has been submitted and approved, and a few medals were awarded. Congratulations to COL Dunta Polo, for being awarded the Bronze Star of the Empire for his impressive flying efforts. Well done! Also, congratulations to LC Gyssler for being awarded the Palpatine Crescent, and to GN Dax Corring, for his Imperial Security Medal! Keep up the good work, gentlemen! Medals; can’t get any better than this!

Having finished the X-Wing Alliance original campaigns, the TIE Corps Commander is finally back on the flight schedule, managing to submit one XWA battle already. All flying platforms are installed and most likely running. Fear the power of the Astra Fighter. Or not, whatever…

Earlier in the week, the Fleet Commander posted that a new SW flying game is on Beta Testing. If you’re interested, sign up here: http://www.starwarsattacksquadrons.com. Definitely looks promising, although it would really be nice to see an actual flight simulator, and not some shoot’em up mouse controlled thing. One can hope.

A new uniform image has been uploaded by LT Upsidexumop. Check it out in his profile!

COL Zósite implemented a new tool for the TCCOM to fix profiles historic records. Another point for Zós! Thanks!

The sad note was the departure of CM Zeke Freeman back to the Reserves. Hope you return soon, Zeke!
