SOO Report # 19 (2013-10-20)

This report was submitted by SOO/FA Jarek La'an/TC-2/ISDII Hammer

STRATEGIC OPERATIONS OFFICER
Report #19, 20 October 2013

Opening Comments

A good few weeks in terms of general activity, I'm very happy to see the continued increase in activity, even as far as the addition of a new SL to our ranks (welcome to SL Eode!). This is encouraging to see, and with the TCCOMs intention to mass-mail the RSVs with a TC update we may well see a few more old names drifting back. I would certainly urge any of you still in contact with any RSV pilots to let them know what's going on, particularly the site and database change.

We're crawling steadily towards the end of the month so all pilots have about a week to make that little difference in activity that changes an MSE recc from ISM to PC, or even no contact to MoC! Opportunities are there to be grabbed so don't let them slip you by. A number of medal awards are currently sitting on the desk of the Fleet Commander and I look forward to seeing them approved and announced, in the meantime I would ask everyone to continue giving what they can at all levels and ranks.

HA Frodo March, or Phoenix COM to our RSVs, has completed testing of the Karana Phase 4 battle and it will be released immediately after this report in order to kick-start the competition once again. As previous, the title of TCCOMs Own Escort Squadron is up for grabs, at present Alpha hold the title but I know of one squadron at least whose intention is to correct this. The same medals and award criteria are in force and will again be released in the e-mail following this report in order to clarify. The competition will run for 2 weeks, with submissions to be BSFd by CMDRs by 2359GMT on November 3rd.

Fleet Status

A busy two weeks on some fronts, quieter on others. I'm pleased to see a number of uniforms, BSFs, and courses, as well as all the behind-the-scenes activity on and around the database. As always if any issues are encountered please ensure they are reported quickly in order that we can correct them with the minimum of disruption. Keep up the effort on all fronts and we can consider October a productive month.

Weekly Orders

The increased comms chatter being intercepted by Intel has continued to increase, it appears only a matter of time before the resumption of Void Raptor activity. Their ultimate goal remains unclear as they cannot hope to triumph against the forces of our entire territory, however until we figure out their endgame or whatever force is pushing them back into conflict with us, we need to prosecute with extreme prejudice. We have learned from earlier mistakes and our merchant shipping should now be far less vulnerable to their raiding forces, the Hammer will thus be free to take the fight to the enemy.

With that in mind we have received orders to increase our readiness as we head back into the operations area, pilots can expect mission assignments and briefings in the next few hours. Stay tuned to intel assessments for any further information and combat data as other battlegroup assets encounter Void Raptor forces. Reversion to realspace will be at short notice, listen in to alerts. CAP will be provided by Delta with Gamma at immediate readiness, all other squadrons at short notice for further taskings. On reversion we can expect to encounter assets from our own BG in addition to the ISDs Immortal and Relentless, we're going to hit hard and fast as we try to eliminate this menace once and for all.

Conclusion

Pilots to their fighters,

In Service,
