RECAP
The roster is up 7 since last time, a pretty strong step forward brought about by ongoing recruitment efforts.
As we leave 29 ABY (2021), it’s that time of year where we reflect on all the things that have happened in the TIE Corps. Competitions were run, achievements were made, battles were won, and we had some fun along the way. The Corps grew and adapted to new challenges, which are often difficult things for a club with the kind of history ours has. Thanks for sticking with us and making the Corps what it is!
As we enter 30 ABY (2022), we’re looking forward to doing new things and making some positive changes to our formula. I’ve got a few proposals to put together for leadership to review before I say too much more, but additional Corps-wide events are near the top of the list. Knowing that we want to have more events is the easy part, actually fleshing them out is the big next step.
On January 7th, we’ll be celebrating the anniversary of the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet. The EH existed before that but didn’t don its current name until early January in 1995. CMDR+ have been asked to submit nominations for the Commendation of Loyalty (CoL), for which we nominate members only twice a year. If you’re a CMDR+ that hasn’t turned in a nomination yet, please do so soon.
The TC newsletter remains a work in progress, but not for much longer if everything goes to plan.

- Performing onboarding tasks before assigning cadets to squadrons
- Processing uniform updates
- Processing medal and promotion recommendations
- Processing transfers and other profile updates in the database
- Adding items to the news feed in the database and the #polls-and-announcements channel in Discord
- Updating the TIE Corps Pilot Manual
- Chatting with the IO about stuff we need or would like to see in the new database
- Learning to be a responsible database code collaborator from the IO, FA Turtle Jerrar (thanks!)
- Holding CMDR+ meetings every two weeks
- Moving pilots from the Reserves to AWOL status when messages from the Captain of the Phoenix, MAJ Sparky, result in a bounce
- Rolling more of the Challenge's Discord server into the TIE Corps server
