2021 is over! The Challenge
fought its way to first place, hounded by the Hammer every step of the way. The Challenge's own Tempest Squadron
won the Squadron category, while Colonel Phalk Sturm won the individual
category. Firebird started strong and kept fighting despite being
overtaken by Lambda and Epsilon Squadrons, ending fourth between
Epsilon and the Warrior's top
scoring Squadron, Sin. Regardless of ship or squadron affililiation, I think we can all agree there were some heroic efforts on all sides! Firebird Squadron had 9 out of 11 pilots participating in RtF, for a total of 81.81% activity! Well done, everyone! Whether you posted three points or three thousand, you contributed to our success and should feel proud of your achievements! We have never claimed to be a competitive Squadron, but this once again proves that we can hold our own and run with the big dogs! A personnel change also took place; CPT Travis 'TI-40026' Cook and I decided that it was time for LCM Jaxx 'Hijacker' Nassin to be more than just a FL as he prepares for whatever CMDR role inevitably awaits him. Along with his promotion to Commander, CM Nassin will now operate as Firebird SQXO and take over when I am absent or finally decide to retire! I suspect November will be a quieter month for Firebird and the Challenge as we decompress and rest, especially as we move into the holiday season. Look for a renewed season of Trivia for the Challenged coming soon, featuring a new scoring and prize system based on categories as well as individual scores! |

Squadron Echelon Guardian:
Monthly competition to determine which Firebird pilot best honours the
memory of the Infiltrator Wing with their performance and claims the
honorary title of Echelon Guardian. Firebird Squadron Training: Every two weeks, Firebird (with guests from the Challenge) will assemble for Multiplayer Training! Star Wars Squadrons, EA Battlefront 2, and others; let's try to get full flights working together! |
