EAGLE SQUADRON WSR #37 (19-Sep-29 ABY)
REPORTING COMMANDER: Captain Graf D'Jinn, Squadron Commander TO: Eagle Squadron, Vice Admiral Silwar Naiilo, ISD Challenge DATE SUBMITTED: 19th September 29 ABY
EAGLE SQUADRON NEWS
Middle of the month doldrums. The hangar is clean. The simulators are used infrequently, giving the mechs enough time between sorties to do some proper overhauls. Even the squadron's X-wings look good, if you're into that kind of design. The blue and gold buff up quite nicely, but that heat treatment around the exhaust ports and torp launchers is just the wrong shade for mine.
After some considerable deliberation, and some outstanding applications, I am extremely pleased to announce our next leaders in Eagle Squadron. For SQXO, we have LCM Moonshine Pethtel taking the reins as my Number 2. For the leader of Flight 3, it is LCM Critical Hit. These pilots have been great supports to me since taking over, and are both well-known and respected across the EHTC. Please congratulate both when next you cross paths. I look forward with much anticipation as these new leaders help to bring home further glory to the ISD Challenge.

COMPETITIONS AND EVENTS
Current Eagle Squadron Competitions:
Challenge Competitions:
- Challenge's Poetic Proficiency : Every round, a general prompt will be given about something on the Challenge, her pilots, her crew, her history, or sometimes more Star Wars in general along with a poem type. You then write your heart and soul, or liver and Chalquilla, into a poem of the given type which will then be reviewed by your fellow competitors and a winner elected by vote.
- Life in the Fleet: Cross training: Prompt: As resources get stretched thin we need our pilots to perform more than their flight duties. Challenge Order 0539 has been enacted. Pilots will be reassigned to serve on auxiliary ships within the fleet to train new skills that will be needed in case reinforcements do not come in time.
TIE Corps Competitions:
- Trivia Grand Tour: Season Seven: Entering Week Seventy Two Forty Three Five One
- Crossword Puzzle, be sure to email a screenshot of your answers to Solohan (solohan50@gmail.com).
- Starship Designers: This competition is about designing your very own starship. Can be as detailed as you wish to be. Design must include exterior design (blueprint style or actual artwork) and interior design of any rooms of your choice. The design can be of any kind of ship, fighter, cruiser, etc.
Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Eagles, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under 'Units Involved' it must be listed as 'Entire TC', 'ISD-II Challenge', 'Wing I' or 'Eagle Squadron'.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Almost everyone in the squadron received medals from the August MSE; I'm a very proud CMDR! It speaks volumes about the quality of the pilots in Eagle, and how you are also not just around for the free flight time in expensive military hardware! Both in squadron chat, and Eagles turning up in the Challenge Cantina, it appears we're all a bunch of vocal, opinionated, funny and engaging Imps. Just keep it to yourself when CHALCOM is around ...
RtF rules are almost in place, there remains plenty of ongoing discussions and healthy debate as to scoring, games platforms and what constitutes appropriate activity. You will receive your orders soon.
I remain, as always, your humble servant,
GDJ
