KAPPA SQUADRON NEWS

Greetings and salutations brave pilots of Kappa Squadron! Imperial Storm is coming down to its glorious finale. Last night saw the conclusion of three simultaneous battles between The Challenge and The Hammer. The Challenge greatly outscored The Hammer in terms of single player and Legions, but intell reports are sketchy regarding conquests and actual fleet losses. In any event, The Warrior is poised to make some mighty gains in the remaining turns and we will need all hands on deck for the final battles. The last time The Warrior saw battle, only a few pilots from Kappa Squadron contributed. I understand that RL takes priority and certain 3-day battle windows may not work for everyone, but I would like to see the Squadron have greater participation in important events. Please keep apprised of developments by tuning in to Discord and email and answer the call to action by cranking out some Legions. Every victory helps!

July MSE medals have been awarded as follows: MAJ Aardvark - Silver Star; MAJ Sparky - Imperial Security Medal; CM Rachel Drakon - Palpatine Crescent; LCM Shang Khan - Bronze Star. Congratulations to these pilots!

I am also pleased to announce the promotion of LCM Rachel Drakon to full Commander (CM). CM Rachel Drakon has been a long tenured and valued member of Kappa Squadron and I'm proud of her achievements and contributions. SALUTE!!

SQUADRON ACTIVITY

1-1 MAJ Aardvark: Participated in Imperial Storm SP and MP - cranking out Legions in SC and just built a new L16 Gunship, the Wolfhound. It shreds enemy ships! New Flight Cert of 15th Echelon and COOP Rating of Master Ranger 4th. Awarded SS for July. May MoC, IS-BW for 3rd in multiplayer victories in July, IS-CR for Guess the Pilot comp. Active by email and Discord. Attended CMDR+ meeting.

COMPETITIONS

Of course, there is Imperial Storm and several other flight related comps running such as COOP Ace, MP Ace and the COO Squadrons Challenge. What I would like to call your attention to is the non-flight comps. There are several running and partipation has been lacking. I encourage you to check these out as they are a fun diversion from gaming and while some are quick, others may take you awhile. But all are fun!!
