(Westric picks up the steaming mug of caf sitting on his desk and takes a tentative sip.  He grimaces as the hot brew scalds his tongue.  He sets the mug down to let it cool a little and turns back to the data terminal.  He stares at the blinking cursor and sighs.  'Paperwork...' he mutters to himself.)

He begins composing this week's message on the terminal.

Pilots of Rho,

Although Commander Wietu should be returning from leave soon, I will be composing this week's report.

We are still engaged in the Imperial Storm III inter-fleet competition.  Our current battle against the Challenge at Cattamascar (Operation Catinmycar) is still ongoing.  Please continue to log as much simulator time as possible in order to contribute to the Warrior's combat numbers.

A new flight member has been assigned to Rho Squadron Flight II: Sub-Lieutenant Brent Hebris.  I'd appreciate if the rest of the squadron could assist me with getting SL Hebris squared away and settled in.

In order to prepare for the upcoming Raise the Flag inter-squadron competition, in the near future CM fr0Zen and I will be following up with each member of Rho Squadron to try and narrow down some days/times when a majority of members can commit to squadron events.  More details to follow!

My first week commanding the squadron has been mostly uneventful.  I appreciate the rest of the squadron taking it easy on me by not getting into (too much) trouble.  Let's keep the momentum going for IS III!
