Welcome Thunder Pilots to this week's report!
We lost three pilots during the week. Take a moment to have a drink for CM Aval, Lieutenant Campbell, and Lieutenant Papi. During the last patrol it seems a New Alliance ambush was set and these three pilots were taken out. Remember to keep yourself aware of your surroundings. Two new pilots have come to join our ranks. Please welcome SL Jax. Returning from the Phoenix. SL Jax first joined under our sister squadron Tempest. We won't hold that against him... much. SL Heax is brand new and could use a battle buddy to help him through the ropes as well. This week has been full of suprises. Admiral Dempsey is looking to step down from ship command as our Commodore at the end of this month. She is looking to step back in to a squadron. It's possible she may return to us! In the meant time a search for a new COM has gone out.

I'd like to see if we can get some training in once every two weeks to even as much as once a week in Squadrons. A chance for us to fly together and bring up our level. Right now my Leadership team (the XO LCM LegionX and my Flight leader CM Dynamus) have both suggested the weekend. I'd like some feed back from you on this. Send it either by email or Discord.

Just to reinterate: Admiral Terrik has stated that the pilots of the ISD Challenge are overinflated. Defend the ships honor! Crush the ISD Warrior in the TCiB! Thunder Trivia:

One trivia question, for a total of four questions during the weekday - points awarded to all, and whoever has most points at the end of the week wins an IS-BR.

Every month, the highest scoring pilot wins an IS-SR, and every pilot with 40 points or more wins an extra IS-BR.

Additionally, there are incentive IS-BRs awarded at 50, 100, 250 and every further 250 points

Thunder Trivia 11 postponed for the week, will hopefully be returning this coming week.

The Challenge with Words

Description: After a particularly bad batch of Chalquilla was distributed by Inferno Squadron, medical was inundated with severely hungover and somewhat illiterate members of the fleet. The tanks had been infected with a spore that ate sugar and spit out alcohol, like yeast. But, this spore also had a side effect, it secreted a neuro- inhibitor that ate away people’s knowledge. To help “stimulate” some learning, Inferno, along with the medical crew, have started sending out word puzzles to help the members of the fleet regain some of their lost knowledge.

Method: At the beginning of every month COL Marenta will generate a word search and post the link. Each month the puzzle will be related to something specific, planets, people, craft, manufacturers, wars, a movie/book/series, etc. At the beginning of the month, COL Marenta will announce the winners of the previous month and send out the next month’s puzzle.

Competition medals:

IS-GR for first and second correct submission
IS-SR for third, fourth, and fifth correct submissions
IS-BR for sixth through tenth correct submissions
IS-CR for completing the puzzle after the first ten entries.




TIE Corps in Battle Season Three:

One battle each from TIE, XvT, and XWA will be assigned monthly. Pilots will fly the battles and submit their pilot files through the database normally. The TCCOM receives a copy of all BSFs, so neither pilot files nor BSFs need to be forwarded to the TCCOM unless the submission gets queued in the database. In the case of a queued submission, send the pilot file to the TCCOM.

The pilot with the highest score each month in each platform will earn 8 points. The next highest score will earn 7, the next highest 6, then 5, then 4 and so on. All submissions will earn at least 3 points. Any mission high scores will earn 1 bonus point and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points. High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, both pilots will receive the bonus points if a processed high score is overtaken later by another pilot. Points will accumulate for the season for more awards and the overall top pilot will also receive the title TIE Corps Battlemaster.

The points earned by each pilot will also be added to their squadron's total and their ship's total. At the end of the season, the participants from top three squadrons and the top ship earn awards.

COOP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021:

Description:
Every Legion of Skirmish earned gives the pilot a point on the Multiplayer Coop Kill Board and the top three pilots at the end of the month earn medals. Yearly, the top four pilots earn medals.

IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. The top pilot at the end of the year also receives the title of COOP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021.

MP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021:

Description:
MP Ace of the TIE Corps is going to have to work a little bit differently in 2021 with Star Wars Squadrons in full force and a similar competition being run by the COO for that game.

Every Legion of Combat earned gives the pilot a point on the Multiplayer Kill Board. Counting just the points earned from games OTHER than Star Wars Squadrons, the top three pilots at the end of the month earn medals. Yearly, the top four pilots earn medals.

IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. The top pilot at the end of the year also receives the title of MP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021

SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021:


Every Single Player mission flown earns the pilot a point on the Kill Board and the top three pilots at the end of the month earn medals. Yearly, the top four pilots earn medals.

Each mission only counts once for the year, but missions flown in previous years can be reflown for points on the Kill Board (but not additional FCHG points). The Kill Board statistics on the TIE Corps website are final.

IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. The top pilot at the end of the year also receives the title of SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021.

For those that haven't taken the TIE CORE course from the Imperial Academy, please do so. By not taking it you will limit yourselves to the Rank of Lieutenant and no higher. The course is not difficult and can be done in 30 minutes.
