TCCOM REPORT #31 | ||
REPORTING OFFICER: High Admiral Plif, TIE Corps Commander | ||
NEWS | ||
The roster is down two since last time, a small net loss from AWOLs and Reserves transfers almost balanced out by incoming recruits. AD Clark has been away for part of the month so I've been tackling the medal and promotion queues solo for a bit, leading to some delays that got compounded when Squadron (Re)Mobilization ended and Commendations of Loyalty came in plus the usual traffic. Making sure competition results have been announced is very helpful to that process, since it's nice to have something to check the recommendations against. A word about announcements: If one of us admirals announces a rules change or sends out a reminder, we're not doing that in order to call someone out and there aren't any names being put on blast. When we've stepped in and made a judgement call, it behooves us to make sure that everyone's on the same page by sending something out on a general channel. We're also looking for opportunities to add things to the Pilot Manual so that there's not just a temporary reaction that leads to things reverting to the way they were before. As a reminder, Copper Iron Stars aren't awarded for just making a submission to a competition. There needs to be some kind non-placement achievement involved like flying some number of missions for an event or answering some number of trivia questions correctly over the course of a competition. One Copper Iron Star per pilot per competition per month to month-and-a-half is a good target for most competitions. While this should be reviewed when the competition is processed, this is also being reviewed when the medals are recommended. Commendations of Loyalty from the last couple of rounds have been awarded, congratulations to all the recipients! The next CoL event is on August 21st for Grand Admiral Ronin's birthday. An Imperial Storm is brewing. Rules for this round are being discussed and the SIMS, RA Phoenix Berkana, should have feedback to move forward with soon. Episode 10 of the TIE Pilot's Podcast was released recently, you can check that out on https://youtu.be/iQW_agmXfr4 Many thanks to RA Zekk Terrik and GN Doyon for these! |
