ISDII Warrior Commodore report #21 (05/31/2021)
This report was submitted by COM-TOA/RA Zekk Terrik/ISDII Warrior

REPORTING OFFICER: Rear Admiral Zekk Terrik

Hello there Warriors! It was a bit of a quiet week for us again but with a definite uptick in activity. I want to thank everyone that sent in RotJ submissions. Not quite the turnout I was expecting especially considering some of them can be easy, so hopefully I see some new ones this week. I have attached Week 4's, and like always you have until next Sunday at midnight to submit. Check out the bonus question down below!

Today is the final day to submit for CPT Sparky's Who, Are You? biographical competition. Don't forget! Details are below.

Just a reminder that I will likely not be available for a large part of Imperial Storm, and the beautiful and talented MAJ Robert Hogan of Sin Squadron is going to be team captain. I will be visiting family in Texas and gone from mid-June until end of June.

On a personal note, it's Memorial Day in the United States. I know there are many active duty military and veterans in the TIE Corps. Let's all take a moment to remember those friends we lost while serving, and those who lost their battles after they came home. I hope you all have a peaceful day.

  • The roster currently stands at 42 members as we continue to trim the fat and add some asskicking. Welcome SL ossusplayz to the Warrior and Rho Squadron! We bade farewell to LT WarperJawa of Sin Squadron on his way to the Reserves, and likely the end of the RotJ competition once I run out of puzzles in a month or so unless I come up with something different.
    • Make sure you catch episode 10 of The TIE Pilot Podcast at this link, where GN Doyon and I surprise the Discord with a special popup episode! Lasting more than an hour, it was very successful!
    • We are soliciting ideas for episode 11.
    • Led by COL Mordechi Wolfe of Sin Squadron, we have progressed to Phase II of Project Sovereign. MAJ Genie and COL Silwar have taken the lead in designing the Imperial Armory.
    • TIE Corps in Battle, May assignments are out, see below!
    • Squadron Remob competition has concluded and medals are on their way out!
    • The Vegas Golden Knights really suck.
    • I have had a couple of people reach out to me about being long-term interested in a CMDR spot. I want to encourage anyone who's interested, even if you've been a CMDR before, to reach out to me so we can begin the process.
    • CPT Sparky's Who, Are You? competition ends tomorrow, let's get those submissions in!
    • MAJ Robert Hogan will serve as team captain for Imperial Storm.

  • Who, Are You?

Great questions! This is a fiction competition to explore your pilot. Where is your pilot from? What experiences have molded them into who they are? What brought them to the TIE Corps? Why do they keep flying for us?

The purpose of this comp is to write fiction that explores some of this stuff beyond just the basics of the INPR. This can be a timeline, a short story, a bio, a wiki page, etc.

Turn fiction into CPT Sparky. Must be 250 words to qualify. Winner will be rewarded to the most original entry.

Don't worry about grammar and punctuation - the purpose isn't to quiz your written english. Just have fun!

  • Riddles of the Jawa

Like every Jawa, LT WarperJawa of Sin speaks in riddles and virtually impossible to understand Galactic Basic. As a translation tool, he has provided the Commodore with a series of riddles and puzzles to be included in every ISD Warrior report.

Unfortunately, the Commodore is far, far too dumb to figure them out and needs the help of the pilots of Wing II to sort them out.

Every week, RA Zekk will include a new puzzle designed by LT WarperJawa in the Warrior report. The first pilot of Wing II to return a fully correct puzzle to me will receive 5 points, the second will receive 4 points, and the third will receive 3 points. Every entry after that will receive 1 point. You will also receive 1 point for answering the weekly bonus question correctly, and an IS-CR for every 4 entries regardless of where you placed. These will be determined by the timestamp on the email you send.

You may also spend one point and receive a hint! You may do this as many times as you want, but you will always receive a minimum of 1 point no matter how many points you spend.

Naturally, I will not be participating since I have the answers.

    Current Standings for RotJ

    GN Pickled Yoda - 7

    LCM Kazraran - 7

    CPT Aardvark - 7

    LCM Rachel Drakon - 6

CM SkyShadow - 2 (CM SkyShadow went over the threshold for an IS-GR, and his score has been reset down to 2 after earning his medal! Great work!)

This week's bonus question: When was Abeloth born and where was her famous prison?

Here’s some fleet-wide competitions currently going on:

  • TIE Corps In Battle - May Assignments

  • TIE Fighter - TIE TC 168 Project Omega

Each mission only counts once for the year, but missions flown in previous years can be reflown for points on the Kill Board (but not additional FCHG points). The Kill Board statistics on the TIE Corps website are final. IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. • May COO Objective Scramble: May The Force Be With YOu

  • Pilots, There will be a rotating COO Objective each month for a chosen platform and goal. This month is based upon flying together.

Competition 3285, the May COO Objective Scramble - May The Force Be With You is up Pick another pilot to pair with and fly together. This is your pair for the entire month and pilots cannot be paired with pilots who are already paired in a set of 2. E-mail your pair to tc-combat-ops-office@googlegroups.com once made. As a set, submit 1 winning scoreboard screenshot from Dogfight, Fleet Battles (Ranked - PvP) or Fleet Battles (Unranked - PvE) post-game via e-mail at tc-combat-ops-office@googlegroups.com between May 1, 2021 (0:00 GMT) and May 31, 2021 (23:59 GMT). The COO and COOAs will have access to these submissions and place them in an online tally. The pair that has the most victories at the end of this month will win the IS-GW, second place the IS-SW and third place the IS-BW.

To encourage further participation, each winning pilot per month will be given a rating of 3 points at maximum, scalable to 2 or 1 if less than 3 pilots participate a month. The top three pilots at the end of the year will attain the annual awards.

  • COO's Star Wars Challenge Episode VII - 2021

  • Pilots,

Welcome to the 2021 refresh of the COO's Star Wars Challenge.

Platforms Involved: X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, Squadrons.

Objective: Accumulate the most missions in a Star Wars branded approved multiplayer platform. You may submit PvP battles (Legion of Combat) or PvE battles (Legion of Skirmish). At the end of the month the totals will be tallied for each pilot's LoC and LoS scores and totaled into a sum. The top three scoring pilots will receive the respectively monthly reward based on ranking.

There will also be an ongoing annual ranking so you are encouraged to continue participation. The top pilot will be given 3 points for that month towards that ranking, reduced to 2 or 1 if there are less than 3 pilots participating each month. At the end of the year, the top three pilots overall will receive the annual awards.

For a full list of the current competitions:

  • I died in the hardcore Minecraft game I had going for a month so that's enough of that crap.
  • Finished my wiki page and submitted it for the Who, Are You? competition. Also updated the TTPP wiki page.
  • Onboarded a new SL to the Warrior.
  • Recorded TTPP #10.
  • Played some SC and BF2.

Let's keep the focus on TCiB and get ready for Imperial Storm! Until next time, the only way forward is THROUGH!
