almost May MSE time! Time sure does fly! Get some last minute flying in
before Monday evening to earn those ever-important Internet Points! Exercise (Re)Mob 3 is over! Officially we came 5th after Lambda, Avenger (representing the Admirals), Tempest, and Sin Squadrons. Tempest saw us setting the goal of going past fourteen completions and, legends that they are, went ahead and finished all fourteen! From HA Plif's announcement, it looks like the Challenge completed 36 tasks as a whole (we might have done more had our COM not been playing for the other team), while the Warrior and Hammer completed 28 and 20 respectively - which bodes very well for our chances in Raise the Flag this September! Our lovely Squadron XO, Travis, was promoted ever-further away from his beloved rank of LCM on Sunday. He sings, he plays the harmonica, and he's always having to find new ways to stop me retiring, and for all of this he has reached the lofty rank of Captain! Travis has also been the most reliable attendee of Firebird Squadron Training, which has earned him yet another IS-SW to his collection of shiny medals! LTs Sylas Pitt and Hijacker have achieved his 1st Echelon wings, well done! In sadder news, following discussion with LT Bowman about his free time situation, we both agreed it would be best for him to take some time off with the Reserves. We're going to miss him, but when his work life calms down, we expect him back! Filling his spot is SL Quintillian, who adds to the Firebird Squadron Battlefront Dream Team! Now if only we could steal Marenta from Inferno to round out the squad... I have challenged Colonel Horus Blackheart of Eagle Squadron to a challenge; the Infiltrator Wing Faceoff will determine which squadron is best. Players must complete the following challenges to earn points for themselves and their squadron: SP-BoP: Highest score in BoP-IW1 'New Recruits' SP-XWA: Highest score in XWA-IW1 'Abyssi Ianua - Gates to Hell' MP: Highest Score in Star Wars Squadrons - Dogfight Mode Other: Highest Score in 'Star Wars X-Wing Fighter' Webgame There's been an increase in participation from Firebird, but I still only have a few entries from Eagle which is fairly problematic. This competition runs until the end of today, so get those scores in ASAP! |

Infiltrator Wing Faceoff: Firebird vs Eagle in a four-challenge test to see which of the Infiltrator Wing squadrons is best! Firebird Squadron Echelon Guardian: Monthly competition to determine which Firebird pilot best honours the memory of the Infiltrator Wing with their performance and claims the honorary title of Echelon Guardian.Firebird Squadron Training: Every two weeks, Firebird (with guests from the Challenge) will assemble for Multiplayer Training! Star Wars Squadrons, EA Battlefront 2, and others; let's try to get full flights working together! TIE Corps in Battle (TCiB): The TCCOM's High Score Hunt, one battle each from TIE, XvT, and XWA will be assigned monthly. Trivia for the Challenged 2021 - Season 1: Four trivia questions every week, points awarded based on time and number of correct answers. want to start doing more Challenge-wide stuff, to get the community
working together since RtF is around the corner and I'd really
like us to win it this year - we can all agree when the same
ship/squadron wins it every year, it gets old for the rest of us. Let's
figure out how we're going to upset the Warrior, unseat Rho, and
dethrone Yoda. And also plan the commiseratory booze-up if we don't :P COL Stryker |
