Congratulations to my esteemed colleague, the Strategic Operations Officer Admiral John T. Clark who advanced from Vice Admiral! Certainly well deserved (and now I get why Plif swiped my rank plaque. Speaking of which, did someone hit me with a cattle prod recently?) The Combat Operations Office has finished the April cycle of MSE responses and has passed them up to the SOO and TCCOM for handling. We've also have a new COO Objective Scramble this month, called May The Force Be With You. Two pilots are paired up for the month and submit their games where they have won playing together, whether it's PvP or PvE in Star Wars Squadrons. There will be a weekly scrape of the database to determine standings updates courtesy of the Internet Officer. The pairing with the most wins at the end of the month gets the win. We've got LCM Morgoth and LCM Fr0zen, COL Silwar Naiilo and LCM Wreckage and finally MAJ Genie and CM Xye set up so far. The Foghorn Leghorn team for the Chalquilla Cup had their Iron Stars with Platinum Wings awarded to them after the recommendation was passed to me courtesy of the Cup Referees, thank you to Admiral Clark for getting them approved! The COO was also able to get access to our BattleStats club page and modified it with a new story/history section and made an announcement/report. COOA COL Silwar Naiilo was also established as the Combat Operations Assistant in the page. If you have a BattleStats account you are encouraged to join us. And finally a little reminder regarding submissions. Star Conflict matches should be reporting true kill amounts rather than simply '1' as this has been causing issues with our duplicate detection system and this method of submission has been established process per the submission page modify done to include Star Wars Squadrons last year. Reminders have been given periodically and transition allowance had been given for players locked into memory with the old method. This allowance ends after 9 May's queue clearance. From here on out, submissions not following the standards for submission will be denied. Secondly, if you were not accompanied in a match by other EH personnel, marking down non-EH/TC personnel is not necessary on either side. |

| A bottle of Chalquilla skidded perfectly into the metal
hand of the Combat Operations Officer as he settled into his stool
at Zekk's On The Beach, the ISDII Warrior's
command-tina. 'Thanks chief, I got your next one.' Admiral Miles Prower said, tipping the bottle in salute to Fleet Admiral Plif. Plif shook his head. 'Don't mention it.' 'So I'm late because Clark parked his bicycle in my TIE Defender's hangar spot. Practically lost a panel landing on that thing.' The COO rumbled. 'New Defender huh?' 'We blew the old one up over a bet, don't you remember?' 'Right. Clark drives me crazy too, but what are you going to do about it?' [Two hours of drinking later] The tall Amaran and the human stood at the foot of Clark's bed, watching him sleep. They were holding half empty bottles of Chalquilla in their right hands. The Amaran held up a passkey. Clark was settled in his bed, snug in his blanket, holding his Teddy-Wookiee. 'Stole this from his locker, I come by here a couple times a week, move stuff around, turn off his alarm, shave his head.' Prower explained. 'You clearly need some sort of psychiatric help but I'm not going to give it to you.' Plif murmured. 'How sound of a sleeper do you think he is?' 'Watch this.' The fox kicked the foot of Clark's bed. The SOO sat up sleepily with a 'Huh?' and then laid back down. Then he held up an admiral's rank panel and yanked the old one off of Clark's duty uniform, replacing it. Then he pulled a full bottle of Chalquilla from his pocket and slid it into Clark's empty hand. 'Congratulations, Admiral Clark.' The vulpinroid suddenly seized up, blue energy crackling over his body as he collapsed to the floor with a loud clunk. Plif took the opportunity to take the Amaran's own rank plaque, replacing it with a new one before swiping the newly minted fleet admiral's Chalquilla bottle, wiping the rim with his sleeve before walking out, stowing the cattle prod back into his sleeve. |
